Feed your lawn with the Scotts® 4 Step® Annual Program. This convenient 3-step version of the program allows for a later start to lawn care. Use Step 2 Weed Control plus Lawn Food in late spring, Step 3 Lawn Food with 2% Iron in summer, and Step 4 Lawn Food in fall. Step 2 controls chickweed, clover, dandelion, dollarweed, and other weeds (as listed). Allow a minimum of 30 days between Step 2 applications and 4-6 weeks between Step 3 and Step 4 applications; do not apply Step 2 more than twice a year. Apply Step® products during calm weather when rain is not expected for the next 24 hours. These products do not need to be watered in. However during dry seasons, watering will speed up the greening process for Step 3 and Step 4. Do not apply Step® products near storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters, or surface waters. Sweep run-off product on sidewalks, driveways, or streets back onto treated areas. For best results, apply each product with a Scotts® broadcast, rotary, or drop spreader according to label directions for an even application. Covers up to 5,000 sq. ft. of lawn.

How to Use

• Apply using a Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreader or a drop spreader calibrated as stated below. Header strips should be applied first and then apply in the longest direction of the lawn. When applying with a Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreader each pass should be within five feet of the other. With a drop spreader make sure that the spreader wheel completely overlaps the previous wheel marks. Cautions

• Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, or clothing. Flush eyes with water as soon as possible after contact. Wear a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, shoes and socks when handling Step 2 product.
• Prolonged or frequently repeated skin contact may cause allergic reactions in some individuals.

Disposal Methods

• These are non-refillable containers. Do not reuse or refill this container. If Empty: Place in trash or offer for recycling if available. If Partly Filled: Call your solid waste agency for disposal instructions. Never place any unused product down any indoor or outdoor drain.

Where Not to Use

• Step 2 should not be used on St. Augustinegrass, Floratam, Dichondra, Lippia, Carpetgrass or Bentgrass lawns. Do not apply any STEP® product near water, storm drains, drainage ditches or if heavy rain is expected.

Keep people and pets off the area being treated until the dusts have settled.

Step 2 is toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates and may adversely affect non-target plants. Drift and runoff may be hazardous to aquatic organisms in water adjacent to treated areas. To protect the environment, do not allow pesticide to enter or runoff into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters or surface waters. Applying this product in calm weather when rain is not predicted for the next 24 hours will help ensure that wind or rain does not blow or wash the pesticide off the treatment area. Sweeping any product that lands on a driveway, sidewalk, or street back onto the treated area of the lawn will help prevent run off to water bodies and drainage ditches. This chemical has properties and characteristics associated with chemicals detected in groundwater. The use of this chemical in areas where soils are permeable, particularly where the water table is shallow, may result in groundwater contamination. Application around a cistern or well may result in contamination of drinking water or groundwater.
