Nothing is better than lush, green grass. Scotts® Turf Builder® Southern Lawn FoodFL is a fertilizer formulated for Florida lawns, feeding up to 3 months to protect lawns against heat and drought. Scotts® Turf Builder® Southern Lawn FoodFL is safe to use on any grass type. Apply the product to a dry lawn during the growing season. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 4 ½. For Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 9. For Scotts® Wizz® spreaders, use a setting of 4 ¼. Return unused product to original container, and sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk, or street back onto your lawn. Do not apply this product to warm season grass types within 1 month of first expected frost. One 14.06 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® Southern Lawn FoodFL covers 5,000 sq. ft.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
How to Use
- Scotts® Turf Builder® Southern Lawn Food protects your southern lawn from heat and drought for up to 3 months.
- Apply this lawn fertilizer with a Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreader. Walk at a steady pace with each pass no more than 5' away from the previous one to ensure overlap.
- If using a Scotts® drop spreader to apply this lawn fertilizer, align the hopper wheel with the tracks from the previous pass and continue across the lawn at a steady pace.
WHEN AND WHERE TO USE
Where to Use
- Use on actively growing Southern lawns of any grass type.
When to Apply
- Apply this lawn fertilizer to dry lawns. Do not apply in winter in North Florida. Apply only once per year.

Fertilizer works, just follow instructions.
I currently live at a HOA residence in Jax, FL. My sprinklers were broken this year and my St. Augustine lawn was non-existent. My lawn was mainly large brown patches, a few St. Augustine, and many weeds. I received a letter from my HOA about my lawn so I purchased this fertilizer to see if I could save my 5,000 sq foot lawn. I didn’t want to spend 100’s of dollars on new lawn. I applied the fertilizer 6 weeks ago. I wish I took a before picture of what my lawn looked like because I now have a lawn. There are still a few small bare spots and some weeds. However my St. Augustine is crowding out most of the weeds. I also stopped cutting the lawn very short. With applying the fertilizer, cutting my lawn tall and every two weeks, plus the watering and rain, I saved most of my lawn. The fertilizer kept my lawn green with daily temperatures of 90+ degrees. Thank you scott for saving me money from HOA violation and from purchasing new lawn. This product truly worked as long as you follow the instructions.

My neighbors envy my lawn
I use Scotts turf builder and I have the greenest thickest grass on my block. People just stare and say, I pay my Yard People to do mine and it looks nowhere that green. They keep calling them back and compare their yard to mine and get angry.

Great Results
After hearing Scott from Scott's on the radio commercial telling me to feed my lawn I listened to him. I went to the Home Depot and bought a bag. I used my hand held spreader and followed the directions on the bag. After 10 days I can't believe how green and thick my lawn is now. As long as you follow the directions and water the lawn ( if no rain ) you will see the results. After a hot and dry winter in South Florida using this fertilizer is a good kick start to the rainy season. Also I love the new Scott for Scott's pitchman.. The marketing worked on me !! lol .. but it really is a good product. Follow the directions and you won't be let down !!!

Perfect Lawn Protection!
It can be very hard to maintain a perfect lawn in Florida due to the extreme heat and weather conditions that are very often present. However, this product helps me to protect and grow my lawn exactly the way I want to. It does the job exactly as needed and I would highly recommend this for anyone who needs the extra protection for the lawn they want.

Green Grass
Maintain the color of the turf. Super easy to use and it worked well. My grass is green and growing very well. Would definitely recommend! Works well in southern Florida. Well worth the usage. I’ve gotten compliments on the grass.

My lawn looks great!!
This lawn food is amazing!! My head was not doing well due to it growing in sand and it being so hot. 2 weeks after using this amazing product my lawn is flourishing!! Everyone should try this!! You will love it!!
