Description

Scotts® MAX™ Lawn Food feeds to strengthen your lawn to help protect against future problems. Regular feeding builds strong, deep roots and improves the lawn's ability to absorb water and nutrients (vs. an unfed lawn). In addition, this fertilizer strengthens your lawn with more essential nutrients versus Scotts® Turf Builder® Lawn Food, including kelp meal, worm castings, iron, and manganese. Scotts® MAX™ Lawn Food works on any grass type. Apply to a wet or dry lawn during the growing season. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreader, using a setting of 3. For Scotts® drop spreader, use a setting of 6 ½. For Scotts® Wizz® spreader, use a setting of 3 ¾. For fast results, lightly water in. Apply this product 2 to 4 time annually in the spring, summer, or fall. The second application can be applied after 6 weeks. One 35 lb. bag of Scotts® MAX™ Lawn Food covers 14,000 sq. ft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No What You're Trying to Accomplish Before Buying After reading the other reviews there maybe some misunderstanding of how this particular fertilizer should be used. I used it to add needed nutrients to the soil before reseeding. It worked perfectly. Now this is not a weed & feed product, which is what most of the reviewers I've read would have needed. But if you're looking to improve the soil prior to spring or fall feedings, this will work perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First time user of Scotts Max vs. Turf Builder I just bought this version of Scotts for the first time. The 32-0-4 formula with Iron and Sulfur is identical to Scotts Turf Builder. It also has extra nutrients such manganese and organic worm castings and kelp meal. Basically a version of Turf Builder made exclusively to be sold by Costco. Although the bag says 14K sq feet vs. 15K for Turf Buider, it seem to result in the same amount used at the same spreader rate after I finished applying. 👍 I just applied it so it is too early to tell. I'll know in a few weeks or so how well it workscompated to regular Turf Builder.. But the price was a good deal. $53.99 at Costco.... $10 less than $63.99 regular Turf Builder.👍

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Was the formula changed? Did you change the prill on this product? I was sure last year the Scotts Mx lawn food from Costco had a nice prill and didnt clump. My lawn looked great and for a long time. This year the fertilizer is granular with clumps. Looks almost identical to your Turf Builder product. I had to break up all the clumps to apply. I hope it performs as well as last year.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lime green areas as a result. I have applied this fertilizer twice to my St Augustine lawn. Each application has given me lime green areas on my lawn. I have never had this happen ever in my long time of being an experienced lawn homeowner. I do not have any disease or insect problem on or in my lawn. I use the same type of spreader I’ve always used (Scott’s EZ spreader). ?????

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Almost like I didn’t use anything Bought this at Costco and it’s like I didn’t use anything at all. Just the cooler September nights should perk up the lawn. I have irrigation running 3 days per week so it can’t be blamed on little rain! I’ve been using Scotts for a long time and have lost faith in their products as the results are poor between seed and fertilizer I’m going to try something different. Been doing this for over 40 years and I don’t think I’m doing anything wrong.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Save your money I purchased this one week ago and applied it right away. It has had no effect on the lawn. Waist of money.
