Terrible smell that attracts flies
Purchased from Lowe’s. The smell is so terrible. It’s embarrassing when neighbors complain about the smell. All of a sudden we have a fly infestation too.

Manure smell
Used the brown mulch and it smelled like manure. Thought maybe some got on the mulch bags in transit. Nope! I did one garden with this mulch across the yard, but it’s all I smell when I step outside.

Lots of MOLD:wouldn’t let me post pictures
I bought 4 bags of this on Saturday 9/28/24 and on 10/1/24 got 10 more bags little did I know 9 out of the 10 had mold in them. I used this in my daycare play area. At this point I have to remove all mulch! At almost $5.00 per bag might not sound like a lot, but in fact it adds up quickly. Sad part is I’m sure I’ll just have to cut my losses! Very discouraged and unhappy! 😖

Lost color in one day
Tried this brand seeing the guarantee and recognizing Scott’s as a reputable company. Well laid the mulch down yesterday and was short a few bags so went and grab those and laid it down and realized that in one day the mulch had lost its color.

No Good Anymore
We bought this in the past and it was OK. This year, after getting 15 bags we found most had lumber and trash in the mix. We spent more time removing unwanted sticks, broken boards and trash than preading the product.

Smells terrible and attracts flies
Purchased several bags of mulch today and spread it around my flower beds. I noticed thr smell of manuer right away. This mulch is awful! My front yard now smells like a farm and the flies are terrible! So very disappointed.
