DESCRIPTION
Scotts® EZ Seed® Patch & Repair Tall Fescue Lawns grass is a revolutionary grass seeding product designed to fill in bare spots on your lawn. This Tall Fescue grass seed grows anywhere, including in full sun, dense shade, high-trafficked areas, and on slopes. Scotts® EZ Seed® Patch & Repair consists of high performance Tall Fescue grass seed, continuous release lawn food and water absorbent mulch. Scotts® EZ Seed® Patch & Repair Tall Fescue grass also includes a tackifier to help reduce seed wash-away and a protectant to help keep seedlings safe from harmful diseases. There are three easy steps to success: 1) prep the area by removing dead grass and loosening hard soil, 2) evenly apply EZ Seed® so the area is mostly covered but bare ground is still visible, and 3) saturate with water until no more water is being absorbed and mulch turns dark brown. Plant seed in the spring or fall when daily average soil temperatures are consistently between 55°F and 70°F, or air temperatures between 60°F and 80°F. For best results, keep kids, pets, and lawn mowers off newly planted seedlings until the grass is 3 inches high.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
How to Use
- 1. PREP - Simply prepare the area you want to grow grass. Remove dead grass and loosen hard soil to help tiny seedlings root.
- 2. APPLY - Evenly apply EZ Seed® so the area is mostly covered, but bare ground is still visible so that seed contacts the soil. The mulch will expand 4X upon watering to help cover the seed and keep it moist (Use half as much for thin areas). Only apply the recommended amount so that seedlings have enough space to access water and nutrients.
- 3. WATER - A deep and thorough initial watering is the key to success. Gently water the area until EZ Seed® is completely saturated and no more water is being absorbed (may take several minutes). Avoid pooling water. When EZ Seed® begins to turn light brown, it's time to water again. Continue to water daily as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall.

- Fall and spring are the best times to plant grass seed, because seed germinates best when temperatures are between 60°F and 80°F.

This stuff is like magic
I saw some 1-star reviews so had to chime in. This stuff is magic. As long as you water it and then keep it moist, the seeds will germinate, even if you pour the mix on a concrete slab. It’s just expensive.

Easy to use!
Easy to use for sure! I had some dead spots on the side lawn of my house. I shook the product out anywhere there was a bald spot. After that, I watered regularly for a few weeks and had great success.

Quick and easy
This product works great and is very easy to use. We used it to repair some dead spots. A little soil prep with a garden rake, application, and regular water produced lush results. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone needing some repair to their lawn.

Great product
I could never be happier with this EZ Seed Patch & Repair tall Fescue Lawn. We had some updates in my area with the gas company so I needed to patch up parts of my lawn. It grew so well. Blended well with my lawn in that area. I will continue to use this whenever I may need it done again!!

Great for Lawn Repair
This product really works well. Every spring I need to do a little patching due to pets and this works quickly and thoroughly. I have challenging soil and the seed variety really they use is hardy. I will always use this product.

I was recommending this product way before I reviewed it for scotts. I liked the results and would recommend to use it again. You're going to get out of the Mudd faster. I used it in april and by may it was green.

This is a great product at an affordable price
This has been a wonderful product for patching those little holes that all of us have just ruff the soil I wet after and just sprinkle EZ SEED and just after a few days you will see the grass coming up
