How to Use

• Early Spring Application: 13.35 lb. Scotts® Turf Builder® Halts® Crabgrass Preventer with Lawn Food - covers 5,000 sq. ft. Apply using the Scotts® Turf Builder® EdgeGuard® Mini Broadcast Spreader set to 3. For an even application, walk at a steady pace slightly overlapping each pass. The lawn should receive 1/4-1/2 inch of water from rainfall or watering within 2-3 days after application.
• Late Spring Application: 11.32 lb. Scotts® Turf Builder® Weed & Feed₅ - covers 4,000 sq. ft. Apply using the Scotts® Turf Builder® EdgeGuard® Mini Broadcast Spreader set to 3 3/4. Mow tall grass a day or two before application. Make sure grass is wet from dew or watering to help particles adhere to weed leaves for best results. Do not mow or water the lawn for at least 24 hours after application.
• Summer Application: 13.35 lb. Scotts® Turf Builder® SummerGuard® Lawn Food with Insect Control - covers 5,000 sq. ft. Apply during summer months to dry grass. Use the Scotts® Turf Builder® EdgeGuard® Mini Broadcast Spreader set to 4 1/2. Water the product in following application.
• Fall Application: 11.28 lb. Scotts® Turf Builder® WinterGuard® Fall Weed & Feed₅ - covers 4,000 sq. ft. Apply using the Scotts® Turf Builder® EdgeGuard® Mini Broadcast Spreader set to 3 3/4. Mow tall grass a day or two before application. Make sure grass is wet from dew or watering to help particles adhere to weed leaves for best results. Do not mow or water the lawn for at least 24 hours after application.

Where Not to Use

• Do not use Scotts® Turf Builder® Halts® Crabgrass Preventer with Lawn Food on dichondra or bentgrass lawns. Do not seed or sod for 4 months after application. Do not apply to newly seeded or sodded areas until after the 4th mowing. On newly sprigged areas, wait 5 months before application.
• Do not use Scotts® Turf Builder® Weed & Feed₅ or Scotts® Turf Builder® WinterGuard® Fall Weed & Feed₅ on creeping bentgrass, St. Augustine (including Floratam), dichondra, carpetgrass, or lippia lawns. Do not use or allow granules to drift onto flowers, shrubs, fruit, or vegetable plants. Do not apply if rain is expected within 24 hours. Do not apply to new grass until is has been mowed at least 4 times. Do not allow product to enter or run off into storm drains, drainage ditches, gutters, or surface waters. Sweep any product that lands onto sidewalks, driveways, or streets back onto the lawn to prevent run-off.

Where to Use

• This Scotts® Turf Builder® Bundle is intended for people with bahiagrass, bermudagrass, bluegrass, centipedegrass, fescue, ryegrass, or zoysiagrass lawns.

When to Apply

• Scotts® Turf Builder® Halts® Crabgrass Preventer with Lawn Food: apply in the early spring, before the 3rd or 4th mowing. Apply when temperatures are regularly in the 80s.
• Scotts® Turf Builder® Weed & Feed₅: apply in late spring when weeds are actively growing and temperatures are consistently between 60°F and 90°F.
• Scotts® Turf Builder® SummerGuard® Lawn Food with Insect Control: apply in Summer (June - August) when insect activity or damage is first observed.
• Scotts® Turf Builder® WinterGuard® Fall Weed & Feed₅: apply in early- to mid-fall when weeds are actively growing and temperatures are consistently between 60°F and 90°F.

How Often to Apply

• We recommend making a total of four annual lawn feedings spaced 6-8 weeks apart.
• Check with your county and city governments to determine if there are local regulations for fertilizer use.
• Do not apply Scotts® Turf Builder® Halts® Crabgrass Preventer with Lawn Food more than twice per year.
• Do not apply Scotts® Turf Builder® Weed & Feed₅ or Scotts® Turf Builder® WinterGuard® Fall Weed & Feed₅ more than twice per year.
• Do not use any other weed, disease, or insect control products for at least one week after applying Scotts® Turf Builder® SummerGuard® Lawn Food with Insect Control.

Overthinking! To have fewer problems in your lawn, just keep your lawn fed year-round, mow high, and water less frequently but more deeply to encourage root growth (hint: this lawn program bundle can help you avoid that).

Remember, keeping your lawn fed throughout the year is key! We recommend making 4 fertilizer applications per year. While it's tempting to fertilize once or twice (or not at all) and call it good, those four feedings not only keep your lawn looking green and lush on the surface, but help strengthen the roots below the surface. Fertilizing four times per year also gives you the opportunity to address seasonal concerns, such as combating weeds in spring and fall and combatting insect stressors during summer.
