DESCRIPTION
Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Bermudagrass is drought-tolerant to stand up to scorching heat. This mix contains Root-Building Nutrition, a combination of ingredients that is expertly crafted to help establish deep roots to grow thick, green turf so that you can build a better, stronger lawn from the roots up. Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Bermudagrass is designed for full sun, and has high drought resistance with high durability. It can be used to seed a new lawn or overseed an existing lawn. For best results, apply in the late spring or early summer when daily average soil temperatures are consistently between 65°F and 80°F or air temperatures are between 70°F and 90°F. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product (please refer to spreader settings on product label). Water daily or as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall. One 1 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Bermudagrass has a new lawn coverage of 330 sq. ft. and an overseeding coverage of 1,000 sq. ft.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
How to Use
New Lawns
- Rake area to loosen the top layer of soil (approximately 2"" deep) and remove any dead grass or debris, ensuring seed-to-soil contact
Overseeding
- Mow lawn at the lowest setting and bag the clippings. Rake to remove debris, dead grass, and loosen the soil, ensuring seed-to-soil contact.
Apply
- Use a Scotts® spreader to apply the seed at the recommended spreader setting
Rake
- Lightly rake the seed into the soil to ensure seed is covered just beneath the soil surface
WHEN AND WHERE TO USE
Where Not to Use
- Do not apply near water, storm drains or drainage ditches
When to Apply
- This grass seed mix should be planted in spring or fall when daily average soil temperatures are consistently between 65°F and 80°F, or air temperatures are between 70°F and 90°F

Watering Tips

Nice grass in no time!
This turf builder really helps my yard out, we have clayish soil so sometimes its hard to get the lawn really going. After spreading this out within a few weeks we had nice green grass growing. And it looks more full!

Works even in a heat wave
This grass seed works and works quickly! It even grew in the crazy summer heat wave we’ve been having this summer. The grass comes in thick, too. I will absolutely be using it again this fall to bulk up my lawn before winter.

Post drought reseed
Used product to reseed areas after a minor drought period. Seed took with little effort and continued dry conditions (with some irrigation). Planning to purchase more as new dry/dead areas have emerged with dry conditions continuing.

Great grass seed
I had a few bare spots that needed grass and this worked well. Planted the seeds and kept them watered. They germinated within a couple of weeks and so far still doing well and starting to fill in better. The main thing to establish grass is to keep it watered! Will definitely buy again!

Turf Builder Bermuda Grass Seed
This grass seed is a mixture of Bermuda seed, fertilizer, and clay as a moisture retainer. The photo shows three distinctly different entities. The seed, fertilizer, and the clay. Definitely rake the area before seeding and then tamp in the seed to cover slightly with soil. Do not let it dry out. It may take a couple of weeks for germination.

Scotts Miracle Grow Grass Seed Bermuda Grass is absolutely amazing. It made my grass look luscious and full. The green hue is gorgeous at this time of year as fall begins. I highly recommend this product!

Love this seed! Makes it so easy to fill in spots in your yard. Just pour it on where you need some filling in and water. That's it!! Couldn't make it any easier to plant grass where you need it the most,
