DESCRIPTION
Scotts® Turf Builder® Southern Triple Action is a 3-in-1 formula for Southern grass types that kills listed weeds, prevents and kills fire ants, and fertilizes your lawn. This product controls dandelion, dollarweed, clover, oxalis, plantain, chickweed, and henbit. It prevents and kills fire ants for up to 6 months, while also preventing armyworms, fleas, mole crickets, chinch bugs, sod webworms, and ticks. Lastly, the added fertilizer feeds and strengthens your lawn against Southern stresses like heat and drought. Scotts® Turf Builder® Southern Triple Action is for use on St. Augustinegrass (including Floratam), Centipedegrass, Zoysiagrass, and Carpetgrass. Apply when weeds are actively growing. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 4 ¼. For Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 8 ½. The product must be watered in immediately after application. Do not allow people and pets to re-enter the treated area until watering-in is complete and the surface is dry. One 26.64 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® Southern Triple Action covers 8,000 sq. ft.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
How to Use
- Apply to dry lawn: Make sure grass is dry prior to application.
- Fill and Set Spreader according to spreader settings on label.
- Water-in product to lawn after application. Do not water to the point of run-off.
- Clean-Up: Sweep product from hard surfaces onto the lawn.
WHEN AND WHERE TO USE
Where Not to Use
- Do not apply during winter dormancy period. Wait until after third mowing of the season to apply. Do not apply to lawns or mixed lawns of Bahiagrass, Bermudagrass, Bluegrass, Fine Fescue, Bentgrass, Ryegrass, Tall Fescue, or Dichondra because injury may occur.
Where to Use
- Use on St. Augustinegrass (including Floratam), Zoysiagrass, Centipedegrass, and Carpetgrass lawns only.
When to Apply
- Apply when grass and weeds are actively growing.
How Often to Apply
- A secondary application may be applied 8 weeks after the initial application, but not more than twice per year.

With a southern lawn this is the product to use.
I've been using this product for seven years and the Triple Action Turf Builder has never let me down. Great for warm weather areas and different types of grass. Kept my St. Augustine grass healthy even in hot summer months and killed weeds and fire ant mounds before they got out of hand.

Scotts® Turf Builder® Southern Triple
First time using Scotts® Turf Builder® Southern Triple. I used it on two different properties; each property had different challenges. Also, gave some to a friend to try on their lawn. We are all very pleasantly surprised with the results - about 1-2 weeks later. Lawns are looking plush and the good grass is choking out the weeds and continues to do so. Good stuff!
