DESCRIPTION
Scotts® Turf Builder® THICK'R LAWN® Tall Fescue Mix has everything you need to help turn your thin lawn into a thicker, greener lawn. The 3-in-1 solution is formulated with grass seed to fill gaps in current lawn, fertilizer to feed, green, and thicken new and existing grass, and soil improvers to encourage stronger root development. These three components work together to help you get up to a 50% thicker lawn with just one application (subject to proper care; results may vary based on current condition of lawn). Scotts® Turf Builder® THICK'R LAWN® Tall Fescue Mix is a great addition to your lawn care program with one application in the spring and one application in the late summer or early fall. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product (please refer to spreader settings on product label). Water daily or as needed to keep soil surface moist for the first 2 weeks. One 12 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® THICK'R LAWN® Tall Fescue Mix covers 1,200 sq. ft.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
How to Use
- Prep - Mow the area to a height of approximately 2 inches or lowest mowing setting.
- Rake or de-thatch to loosen the top layer of soil and remove any dead grass or debris.
- Apply - Use a Scotts® spreader to apply.
- Water - Water daily or as needed to keep soil surface moist for the first 2 weeks. Resume mowing when lawn reaches desired mowing height.
WHEN AND WHERE TO USE
Where Not to Use
- Apply only to actively growing turf. Do not apply near water, storm drains, or drainage ditches. Do not apply if heavy rain is expected. Apply this product only to your lawn and sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk or street, back onto your lawn.
Where to Use
- This product is designed specifically to repair thin lawns and is intended for application to the entire lawn.
When to Apply
- Fall and Spring are the best times to use Thick'R Lawn®. Seed germinates best anytime temperatures are between 60°F and 80°F and all danger of frost has passed.
How Often to Apply
- Scotts® Turf Builder® Thick'R Lawn® is a great addition to your lawn care program with 1 application in the spring and 1 application in the late summer/early fall.

- Water daily or as needed to keep soil surface moist for the first 2 weeks.
Using with Other Products
- Do not apply weed control products until the grass is well established (mowed at least 4 times). Additionally, if you recently used a weed control product, refer to those product instructions to determine how soon you can plant grass seed.

Best Yet
I used the Scott 3 in 1 and grass last year after cultivating and redoing my yard. I add topsoil grass seeds along with 3 in 1 cover it with EZ Straw. This year in March my grass has never look better and look at it now. On May 12 I will be used the Scott Turf Builder Lawn Food. I highly recommend this product. Will be using it in early Fall.

Great Product
Scott's products are easily one of the best on the market. When I used the grass seed with fertilizer it grew and filled in all the areas that didn't have grass. They also stand behind their product. I will continue to use their products as does all my family. Thank you for making such a great product.

Surprising Results
My lawn is a seeded lawn not sod. Thus, it's been a laborious effort to develop it into a beautiful setting. I've had numerous bald areas and much weeds and clover. My plan has been to energize it by applying the Thick'R Lawn product as a phase 1 step. Would follow-up in a few weeks with the Weed & Feed.
After a season opener mowing, I applied this product. 3 weeks later, it grew very thick, tall, and heavy. Mowed it and saw the real results. Lush, rich, deep green lawn!! almost 100% coverage of the bald areas. I'm highly satisfied that my base lawn condition has emerged.
My area is approximately 3/4 acre. Employed 5 bags (5,000sqft each). This was worth the expense and effort. I'm anxious to move to the next phase (Weed & Feed) to strength it and create more beauty!!

Unbelievable Results
Bought Thick'RLawn expecting average results and the lawn I now have is the best it has been in years. Watered everyday using my sprinkler system for 2 minutes and it's greener and thicker than anytime before. Highly recommend!

Great Results
I had an 11000 sf lawn w/ thin grass and no weeds. I put down three 40 lb bags of Thick’R lawn tall fescue mix and a 50 lb bag of K-31 tall fescue in mid September. Growing conditions were perfect...cool & wet. Amazing results within 3 weeks!
