Treat weeds and feed your lawn with Scotts® Turf Builder® WinterGuard® Fall Weed & Feed3 in the fall for a better lawn next spring. This weed killer plus lawn fertilizer controls over 50 listed lawn weeds, including clover, dandelion, plantain, morningglory, chicory, eveningprimrose, and purslane. In addition, it delivers the nutrients needed to help recover from damage from the summertime and build strong roots to take on harsh winter conditions. Apply Scotts® Turf Builder® WinterGuard® Fall Weed & Feed3 on a calm day when weeds are actively growing and temperatures are consistently between 60°F and 90°F. Make sure your grass is moist from dew or sprinkling, as this helps particles adhere to weed leaves to produce the best results. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 3 1/2. For Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 6. Do not water your lawn for 24 hours after application. This lawn care product is for use on Bahiagrass, Bermudagrass, Bluegrass, Centipedegrass, Fescue, Ryegrass, and Zoysiagrass. Do not apply to St. Augustinegrass (including Floratam), Dichondra, Lippia, Carpetgrass, or Bentgrass. One 11.43 lb. bag covers 4,000 sq. ft.

Easy way to weed and feed for winter
A quick and easy to get your lawn ready for next year. I feed when the leaves have all fallen and again six weeks later. I think the second feeding really makes the difference. The lawn comes in nice the next year without all the weeds.

Great product
My husband just put this on our yard a few weeks ago and have already seen a major difference! Super easy to put down. We only needed one bag for the back yard and one for the front! One bag goes a long way! We can't wait to see the full results!

Don't Wait Until Spring!
I'm always tempted to roll the mower into the garage at the beginning of fall and worry about my lawn next spring - STOP! Before I quit for the fall season, applying Scotts Turf Builder WinterGuard Fall Weed & Feed saves me so much time and money in the spring.
The 1st time I followed the Scotts 4 Step Program, my lawn was filled with crabgrass and an assortment of weeds but by mid-summer, my lawn actually received the neighborhood "lawn of the week" award!

Exactly what I needed for my yard!!
Exactly what I was needing for my yard, we moved into a new home 3 months ago. Our yard needed some tender loving care. So we moved in and worked so hard on the yard, it needed a lot of work. After all is done we put out the winter guard fall weed and turf so help my lawn keep the weeds down so we can plant grass next year. It covered all the whole yard, the front yard just needs the weeds took care of. Can’t wait to see what our looks like next year.

Spreads easily
We got a new spreader and this went on so easily. Can't wait to see the results over time! We haven't been disappointed yet with anything we tried. Would probably need 2 bags to do our entire yard but it's not an expensive option to buy 2.

Very easy to use
This spread so easily. It did not clump or stick to the spreader. I applied this early in the morning while there was dew on the lawn and noticed how it adhered to the weeds. I also called the Scotts helpdesk to see how long to wait after seeding before applying this. The young lady at the help desk was very professional. She asked for my zip code to assure the information was accurate for my location. I like having access to Scott recommendations on all the Scott's products. This is an added value to using Scott's products.

Worked great
It did as it says, killed off those end of season weeds that popped up since we have had unusually warm weather. As far as seeing if it will help for a spring green up, will have to wait and see. Applied it to 3000 sqft lawn

Amazing Product!!!
My neighbors moved in and in a few months the their lawn was so beautiful, so I watched what he used and it was this product. So I bought a bag, and 2 weeks later my lawn ( what was left) was so green and looking good, dandelions dying or dead! I was amazed, so I went out and bought tools to till the soil, Scott’s LawnSoil and seed! Today I needed more seed so I bought Scott’s Thick’r Lawn 3 in 1 ...I know I’m going to have the best lawn this summer!!! I bought 5 bags of LawnSoil and 1 big bag of Thick’r Lawn seed. Don’t do like I did and buy seed bags, just buy the Thick’r and the LawnSoil!! I’ll post pictures soon!

Amazing!
I moved into a new construction home in July 2019. The builder had laid sod and it was all I could do to water it constantly to ensure it wouldn’t die in the July/August heat. In the Fall I decided to use the Fall fertilizer with Winterguard to ensure our lawn would be the best on the block. When early Spring came, I COULD NOT believe how beautiful our grass was! It was such a beautiful dark green color and so thick and lush. We had to start cutting our grass weeks before our neighbors since theirs hadn’t even started growing yet. Later in Spring, I used Scott’s Weed and Feed fertilizer. I plan to do 3 different treatments each year. (Fall Winterguard, Spring Weed and Feed and then Summerguard in the Summer) So far by only doing the 2 treatments (Fall and Spring) my lawn already looks like a million bucks! I couldn’t be more happy with the different Scott’s products we have used so far. When I did the Fall Winterguard application, I saw all of our weeds in the sod disappear within days! Since continuing into the Spring with Weed and Feed fertilizer, I will tell you that our lawn is completely weed free! Today I started on the Summerguard fertilizer treatment and I am so hopeful that our lawn will continue to look amazing during the hottest and most dry time of the year. I am so happy with these products that we’ve used so far. I know they’re pricy, but it is so worth it! Our neighbors all have sod as well, but there is a VERY OBVIOUS difference between our lawn and all of theirs. No one else has used any fertilizing products at all and you can definitely tell! I would never even guess that they had sod. I’m just amazed at what our lawn looks like...all thanks to Scott’s fertilizers. FYI: we live in the panhandle of WV sandwiched between MD and VA to give you an idea of climate.

After applying Scott's Weed & Feed to the lawn. The SCALE on the saucer magnolia all DIED. It's killing most of the weeds also (as expected).

We had a lawn that was basically a clover field and we applied the Scott's winter guard weed & feed about a week and half ago. It has done wonders already on our lawn. I'm not embarrassed anymore. You can see from the before and then after picture 1.5 week difference. I will likely do another round of the weed & feed yet this fall or for sure in spring. It is like magic! Haha

Winning my lawn back!!
It has been some time since I was able to care for my lawn's feeding myself. Due to health and financial problems it has been neglected and the lawn mowing contractor I used in 2016 was terrible. They never cleaned up my lawn before winter 2016 -17 and left huge piles of leaves all over. This lack of attention winter killed many splotches of my lawn. The new service company I'm using this year has done a wonderful job reseeding all the bare spots, etc. but informed me they aren't allowed to do lawn treatments in Massachusetts. I've always followed Scott's email flyers and joined their lawn care plan in late August. After entering all my lawn's information they recommended I use this product. Years ago I used their 4 Step plan so this was new to me.
Early Labor Day morning 9/4/2017 I was out to spread this on my brown and dead looking lawn while it was wet from a Sunday rainfall. As we all know it's difficult to plan around "Mother Nature" and the following 3 days we had deluges of hard rain that was totally unexpected and not in long range forecasts. I feared that I'd wasted my money, time and energy as all would be washed away.
Well, once again, Scott's has saved my lawn as I look out I'm seeing a nice healthy greening up of my grass and the weeds have that browning tinge to them as they are dying off.

Prepare your lawn for Winter!
winter guard with weed & feed gets your lawn looking great and healthy while preparing it for the winter season. I prefer Scoots fertilizers as the product(NPK) is all in 1. Your lawn gets even distribution and even growth. Great product! Take care of your lawn with this product.

Winter is over My Lawn is Excellent
I liked the early results in December. But when the spring came the lawn looks like a painting its outrageously thick and green like a Crayola crayon throughout. Minimum weeds and coincidently no ants, yet my neighbors both called in exterminators (results from using summerguard twice July and August). The results from using Scotts products, correctly, are well worth the effort and investment. Apply and sit back and watch the grass grow!!!!!

Great Winter coverage.
I love this product, used it before the Temps got cold, but my lawn thickened up and stayed green into November and until the snow came.

When I used this the first time I was hoping for some results better than what I had been using, anything better. But I was so happy with the results, I used it again this fall.
Not only does it give the grass a good start before spring, I don't have to worry about weeds making it over the winter.

my lawn has never ever looked so good
When I first applied winterguard I was not pleased my lawn looked a little brownish and sickly. I watered but still not pleased. I thought I would just let it go and work on it in the spring. well here it is December 5 and the lawn looks like a carpet, and absolutely no weeds. I can not believe the results, Neither can my neighbors, one accused me of putting down sod.I have used Scotts Turfbuilder for over 40 years, my father used it exclusively . Summerguard, Winterguard Scotts gives me outstanding results.

I have been using Scott's for two seasons with professional results.
I have done Scott's for two seasons now. I apply winterguard in early fall, then again 6-8 weeks later. I have the greenest lawn in the neighborhood still.
I do the spring weed and feed as soon as it stops risking frost. In June I will apply an application of Summer guard with water smart followed by another application in August.
I often get comments about how green my lawn is. I have had minimal burning just when my application overlapped.

This product when applied to wet lawn per the instructions does an effective job of killing most all the weeds and preparing the lawn for winter. I always make sure I buy the fresh stock in the big box store I buy it from. I can tell when it is fresh when the garage that I store it in smells like the weedkiller in the product for a week before i use it. This is a wonderful smell to me

Saved my lawn
I had a brand new lawn installed when I moved into my house 5 years ago and it was beautiful. In the coming years the lawn deteriorated into a weed patch. I tried many products and nothing worked to revive the lawn. I was on the verge of replacing it with artificial turf but decided to try this product in the Fall in hopes of finally having a decent lawn in the Spring. Well, at least where the grass outnumbered the weeds any way. When Spring came I couldn't believe how green and lush my lawn was. It looked even better than when it was first installed. My lawn has never looked better
Here in New England I apply two applications of Scotts Turf Builder WinterGuard each fall, once in mid-September and once in late October. My lawn is always green a perfect when the snow melts and is ready for my spring application which I do in May.
I've always had great luck with Scotts products.

Best on the market
This product is by far the best and even though it is a bit more then the others it is really worth the extra money. I have used some others but they don't really do the job as well as Scott's and with winter coming in this part of the country you better winterize with the best.

Cloveris dying, grass is greening
I purchased this product because I always follow the guidelines for fall fertilization in my area. I have been using Turf Builder for the last three years in the fall, and because I had a small sprouting of clover in a few areas of my 35,000 square foot yard. I decied to try this product two weeks ago. I watered only the areas where the clover was growing before the application, but applied an equal amount over the entire yard. We have had two slight rains since the fertilizer application, and I am already seeing some greening, but I am also seeing the clover browning out. I like to brag about my yard and Scotts products make it easy for me to keep a beautiful lawn!

This product works quite well on on field bind weed and greens the lawn. We are next to an old farm field with many stubborn weeds.
