Treat weeds and feed your lawn with Scotts® Turf Builder® WinterGuard® Fall Weed & Feed3 in the fall for a better lawn next spring. This weed killer plus lawn fertilizer controls over 50 listed lawn weeds, including clover, dandelion, plantain, morningglory, chicory, eveningprimrose, and purslane. In addition, it delivers the nutrients needed to help recover from damage from the summertime and build strong roots to take on harsh winter conditions. Apply Scotts® Turf Builder® WinterGuard® Fall Weed & Feed3 on a calm day when weeds are actively growing and temperatures are consistently between 60°F and 90°F. Make sure your grass is moist from dew or sprinkling, as this helps particles adhere to weed leaves to produce the best results. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 3 1/2. For Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 6. Do not water your lawn for 24 hours after application. This lawn care product is for use on Bahiagrass, Bermudagrass, Bluegrass, Centipedegrass, Fescue, Ryegrass, and Zoysiagrass. Do not apply to St. Augustinegrass (including Floratam), Dichondra, Lippia, Carpetgrass, or Bentgrass. One 11.43 lb. bag covers 4,000 sq. ft.

The product is good but the price is OUTRAGEOUS
I share Dr. Stone's concerns about getting less fertilizer for more money. I have been using Scott's annual fertilizer "recipe" for the past 30+ years and I have been getting outstanding results. My lawn is the envy of the neighborhood. But the price for the fertilizer(s) has become outrageous and I am starting to reconsider using other brands. When will the greed stop?

Shrinking Bag Sizes!
Imagine my surprise to see that my usual “15,000” square feet bag was not enough to cover my lawn. I checked the spreader setting, and then discovered that the lumpy bag contained only 12,000 square feet of coverage, plus it was priced higher ($90) than last year. Had to go back to the store and get a “5000” square feet bag, and noticed it is now 4000 square feet. C’mon folks - how much profit do you need to make? It’s like the magic shrinking chocolate bars. Very disappointed.

Distributes well. Soaked into the ground quickly.
I used the Scott's spreader and this fertilizer was better thean some othjers in that is flowed well improving the odds ofd a more even distribution. I liked that. I gave it a 4 star as I can't tell during this tiem of the year if it made any difference yet.

Lots of leftover product every year!
This product, as well as the Winterizer (no weed control), both work well. However, using a Scotts broadcast spreader at the recommended rate of 3.5, I end up using about 50% of the product I should. I've applied this every year for as long as I can recall, have had two Scotts broadcast spreaders in that time, and the results are always the same. I have about 12k sq ft to cover, and I go through about half of a bag meant to cover 15k sq ft.

Summer guard with bug control
This was a great product that saved my lawn. I could not understand why my grass was patchy and my neighbors grass was fine!! After examination o discovers bugs ants etc. worked like a charm. Major difference in my lawn on my way back to my golf course lawn as my kids call it!!!

Easy to apply
Winter guard was easy to apply, still waiting on spring to see some results since my lawn is now dormant. With the level of success I have had in the past I fully expect a lush green lawn. Another easy and quality product.

Fall work done- waiting for Spring!
We were having a problem with browning and weeds in our small back yard. Looking for a solution to apply now (Fall) with hopes of a greener Spring lawn, we decided to apply Scotts WinterGuard Fall Weed & Feed. It comes in a large bag which has clear easy to follow instructions printed right on the bag.
We first mowed the lawn- leaving grass clippings- and then watered the lawn. Per the instructions, you apply on a wet lawn! We used our Scotts spreader, set at 3 ¼. It was easy to quickly spread our small area (see picture). Our winter season in the Carolinas is short, so we will wait for Spring in hopes of a greener, lush lawn. We believe this WinterGuard Fall Weed & Feed will solve our yard problem- if it’s as effective as easy to use, we’ll see results soon. Will post another picture in the Spring and change the star rating after the product has time to work.

Easy application
Put down this winter fertilizer and have no signs of burn or other application issues. Can’t judge how effective it will be right now. When growing season starts up again in late spring, can better judge.

I got this bag of Scotts Winter as a gift from Scotts. It was very easy to utilize because I also own a Scotts Spreader. It works awesome on keeping the weeds at Bay and my yard looks amazing. I will be continuing to use Scotts products.

Good product!
I think this Scotts Turf Builder WinterGuard Fall Weed & Feed is exactly what my lawn needed. The cold weather is right around the corner, and this weed and feed helps protect my lawn from weeds, and feeds my lawn at the same time. I have alot of dandelions in my yard, and this got rid of them quite nicely. I liked this product, and I would recommend this weed and feed to anyone who likes to have a nice lawn.

Turned the Clover brown but did not kill
It might be too soon to tell but it did not seem to have much effect on the weeds in the yard. We have had a lot of rain in Wake Forest NC so not sure maybe this too has affected the weed killing part of the product

Great product that took care of my weeds
This is a great product that took care of my weeds problems in my front yard. I get a lot of clover type weeds in my front yard in the fall. This took care of them all in one application. It's easy to apply with a spreader. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I want to see what my lawn looks like come spring.

Looking Good So Far!
We recently moved to a new home with almost 2 acres of never tended to "lawn." We have applied the Scotts Turf Builder, and though it is too soon to see any major results, we are happy with what we ARE seeing already. The grass has greened up (we haven't hit the cold winter weather just yet), and is also filling in many of the bare spots. We are confident that with some TLC, along with the Scotts Turf Builder products, we will have a beautiful lawn in no time!

Noticeably Greener
I applied this product about 1 month ago and comparing to my neighbors yard it is much greener. I have not noticed any of the weeds dying. The thought process is that this will provide the nutrients for a fuller thicker lawn in the spring to choke them out. We will see.

Easy to use. quick results
Applied this product and saw results the first week. Grass is greener and new grass is sprouting. I am sure I will see more results in the spring of 2021. Would like to see this come in a smaller bag for small lawns.

Easy to use
Scotts Winterguard is easy to use and effective. I can tell my lawn is greener and some of the weeds are dying. Time will tell to what extent. I will definitely be using this again. I feel like it gives my lawn a boost for Spring.

Pretty good product
I really enjoyed us this product to help my yard look good for next year. It's a little time consuming but that comes with the territory of having a beautiful yard! If you want beauty in something then it does take some work. I will definitely recommend this product to my friends and family. Thank you for making such good products!!

1st year with all Scott's product
Applied my second application of Scotts® Turf Builder® WinterGuard® Fall Lawn Food six weeks after the 1st application. Applied per instructions, 3.5 on spreader to a wet lawn but 5 days later noticed approximately 50 small worms(looked like small inch worms-not grub-and I am sure many more dead) on my sidewalk. Why?
I did over the two previous years apply GrubEx so I do not believe that to be the isuse.

Works but coverage exagerrated
I have used Scott's products for years just like my Dad did when I was growing up.
The product works for me if I follow the directions, however the coverage of 15K feet is exaggerated. I have a Scott Drop Spreader and the recommended setting is 6. Well, I use that, walk briskly and minimize my overlaps. I use almost twice as much as the package claims. If I spread it thinner to get the 15K, my results are poor. I have a 1/2 acre with a 4,000 foot house and and a 22,000 gallon pool and lots of landscaping so no way I should need 35,000 square feet of product, but that's what it works out to.
My recommendation is buy double what you think you need and if you have leftover, use it in the Spring.
