Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works Great Except. I do not have a large lawn in Noethwest Florida. I have a buffer area behind my home that is quite large. Have many critters that come from the preserve and armadillos. I have been dealing with armadillos for years. Decided to challange the armadillos head on. I put down the Grubex all over my entire yard. Including the bushes and areas that has a lot of pine bark. Watered in as directed. I now have little damage in the bush and grasssy areas. However, All the beds that have pine bark has become a buffet. I tried putting down more Grubex, in thae area, watered it in well and the armadilos have not stopped digging in that area at all. I went out this morning 5/18/24 and they dug up the entire area of that has the pine bark. I took photos but the ability to ad photos was not working.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Need help I’m needing help with this product. The instructions say to water the product in. Wait 24 hours when lawn is dry before it is safe for pets. Well, after about 18 hours the lawn wasnt quite dry-and now it’s raining! Lawn probably wont be dry until tomorrow. I called the Scotts helpline and the person seemed unsure, but said she thought it would be ok after 24 hours-even if still wet. Not willing to risk health of dogs. Can i please get a definite answer? Thank you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does it work? I’m not convinced it works… it seemed like pockets of grass were still victims of grubs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Better application instructions needed. In addition to the application rate, there should be directions on how far apart each spread line should be. As I have just applied it and had to make a best guess on how to properly use to achieve best results, I cannot not provide a valid opinion on your product until later in Spring/Summer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Product,, Bad info on bags I've used this product before and I do like it. My complaint is the info on the bags. I think it's on purpose because different stores either list the size in pounds, or they list it in coverage, not both. This makes it very hard to compare apples to apples for the best price. (Example, Lowe's and Home Depot)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from BAD BAG DIDNT DISSOLVE I use this every year but this year it didn't totally dissolve. After months I can still see some grandulars in my yard. We have had days of heavy rain and we have watered the lawn. WEIRD

Rated 3 out of 5 by from it's done some good but didn't eliminate all grubs I have just put down another bag of grub ex but the rain didn't move in so it hasn't been watered in the ground. Will this cause the product not to work?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from What is in the Bag? My family has been a Scotts customer since about 1957. First my Dad and now me. There is something particularly annoying about this website. I want to know what the chemical composition is of the products. In most cases this information is not availble.amking me think Scotts is trying to avoid having the customer compare a Scotts product to a competitive product. Would love to hear your explanation for this marketing strategy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Waste of money. Didn't do a thing for grubs or worms. Armadillos are still digging up the yard

Rated 2 out of 5 by from grubex grubex says 5000 sq ft at 5.5 setting.I used 2 bags for 2000 sq ft.Drop spreader. Is the setting correct
Date published: 2020-06-30
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not spread as much as directions say I bought the smaller package for 5000 square foot lawn. I use the Scott's brand drop-type spreader set to 5 1/2 like the instructions say. When I opened the bag and saw how fine the granules are, I questioned whether 5 1/2 is the correct setting. But I went ahead and did it anyway. It didn't even last 1500 square feet and the whole bag was gone. I know there's nothing wrong with the spreader, because I had just used it the day before on the neighbor's yard with Scotts #1 Crabgrass Preventer and it worked perfectly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Still got grubs argggggg!!!! This is the second year in a row I have gotten grubs after using GrubEx. about a third of the front yard is gone and spots in the back are gone too.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Grub Ex Very disappointed with the results this year. Two rather large areas that were treated have turned brown and mostly dead. In the past, I have had good results with this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed in the process I had a membership for several years for the timely delivery of the lawn products I needed. There was an annual renewal process, and the individual products arrived just before they were needed throughout the summer. No need to store the products as they were typically applied within a week after delivery. Earlier this year I received an email stating that Scott’s had eliminated that program. I reached out to their customer support staff and was told that Scott’s was changing their computer system to something new and therefore I would have to go their website and sign up again. Why the company was not able/willing to transfer my history and products needs to their new system is a mystery to me. I did go through the process of identifying the products I would need on their website. I was shocked when a few weeks later I received the entire summer supply of products in one shipment! NOT what I was expecting. I now have approximately 120 lbs of fertilizer chemicals in my garage and the stench is appalling! It will be October before the last of the products are applied, it’s going to be a long stinky summer. VERY disappointed in the way Scott’s is treating long time customers.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Please hire a new website designer. Your website and delivery service is the worst online situation I have ever seen. The fact that you delivered 60 bags of fertilizer to my house all at once is absolutely absurd. I spent almost $3000 with you and you decided to deliver it all at once.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why is Grub Killer Plus 24 hour Why does Scotts call this product grub killer? applied this product to new lawn few days ago, late October. Product drove grubs to the surface ( gross site ) but days later the grubs are still crawling around. when does the killing start?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failed Product Two Years Running As a loyal Scott's customer for the past 10 years I have decided to write my first review. This product has failed me now for two consective years. I have followed the application instructions exactly as instructed. I thought maybe last year I had a grub problem because I aerated my yard leaving multiple holes for the Japanese Beatles to enter. I did not irrigate this year and my problem is even worse. I will no longer trust this product and honestly I will purchase different fertilizer brands in the future. Scott's prices plus smaller bag sizes (4k from 5k sq ft) is no longer cutting it. I am disappointed as I wanted to be a long term Scott's customer as I live in Central Ohio, but it is time to move on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I applied this to my lawn the end of May. Now it is September and I have a full infestation of grubs in my back yard. It is not "full season protection"

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did not work Last Fall I had terrible grubs so this year I applied GrubX in March. Came outside today (Sept) to find a big section of lawn destroyed. GrubX does NOT last all season! Do I need to reapply?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not believe in the product any longer Purchased 1 bag in April 2024. Another bag in July 2024. Had the same issue last year also. Tired of repatching my yard. I have always used Scotts products. No more

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product did nothing I put this product down for last few years in June and has done nothing! Have to replant lawn every year in my back yard! Know they are grubs because I see tons of lady bugs in my pool every year! Just throw my money away! Done with this!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless product and a complete waste of money Bought 2 bags. Applied twice in the early and then late spring. My front yard is nearly completely destroyed by brubs. Useless product and a complete waste of money

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor labeling WARNING Poison on vegetable gardens No label saying where to use or where not to use on the package !! WARNING DO NOT USE ON OR NEAR VEGETABLES !!! Label says nothing about not to allow this to get in vegetable garden. GrubEx is actually poisonous if you eat your vegetables !!! I called Scott’s after I looked at the package labeling several times. No warning about vegetable gardens. I had already applied product and some got in my vegetable garden and Scotts told me I should not harvest and consume any vegetables? They did tell me it could go on flower garden and lawns only. Nothing on packaging states that? So what if I harvest sunflower seeds ?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expensive waste Doesn’t work and costs twice as much as the best brand I’ve used so far. Bought this after noticing a few holes and wanted to do some spot treatment. And even when putting a concentrated amount around certain areas it still didn’t work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Grub-x doesn't work I applied 4 bags of scotts grub-x to my lawn in June and watered it in and I am seeing all kinds of damage to the lawn from grubs. This product does not work! I just came here to see about the guarantee and found many other people with the same issue. What happened? I know in the past this product used to be good, but then somehow I recall it wasn't using Merit any more (I think) and I haven't used it in a while but this year decided to try it again and after spending $105.76 on it I still got grubs! Contact me via email to arrange for my money back please. I don't have the actual receipts I never expected to "return it" but I do have my credit card statement showing the charges for the purchases I made.
