Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stuff - lawn saver! I live in a suburban/rural setting and, while many people think having wild turkeys around, it stinks because they tear my lawn to shreds! I found that they are really digging for grubs and Japanese beetles. That's where the Grubex comes in. Last year, I put Grubex down on 85% of my lawn (ran out before I finished). No turkeys on that 85%, but the other 15% took a beating! No more excuses this year. The entire lawn got a full cover. This product is a little pricey, but I don't have a lot of alternatives.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this product worked great in ridding my yard of the grubs I used this product to rid my yard from grubs and it worked great. I have not had any more problems and the yard is shaping up great. I even got my neighbor to use it also. Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works - haven't seen grubs in the soil I definitely had grubs - found quite a few digging around the yard here and there. I applied this product a couple of years ago, and subsequent digging has not turned up any grubs. My initial goal was to help eliminate moles! I had a pretty major mole problem, and eliminating the excellent food source grubs provide goes a long way towards that yard battle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have always used Grubex. The neighbors lost their lawn to birds digging for the grubs. Mine was not touched!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grubex has solved the grub issue I have had in my lawn. I, in years past, have had issues with grub damage to my lawn. In addition I have had to deal with beatles dinning on my garden plants. I began using Scotts Grubex in the late spring several years ago. It has controlled the lawn damage and eliminated the Japanese beatles. It is an extreemly easy solution to a not so nice situation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GrubEx I have had problems with moles in my backyard for several years. I have tried many products in the past and I have had varying degrees of success. I was told to try this product in late Feb/Early March. So far I have had excellent results. I treated on area and left another area of my lawn untreated. I definitely saw a difference between the untreated area and the treated area. I would definitely recommend trying this product. In fact I am going to get another bag of GrubEx to treat the untreated area right now. Hope this helps anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stuff We were really having a problem with grubs early this Spring and we even had a skunk that was tearing up our lawn to get to the grubs. Once we applied the Grubex we could see a big improvement in that not only was it helping to eliminate the grubs but the skunk too. I plan to do another application again this summer and will make it an on going regular practice. Thank you. Excellent product!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looking forward grub death this fall, and next spring and maybe next fall again! I do my homework on anything I buy. And if you do yours you will come across a link to the Michigan State University Extension of Turfgrass Science discussing grub control products commercially available for spring 2012. The biggest issue that yardners like us face is the variable seasonal timing of the application of such products (based on chemical used). Biggest failures are not generally with the chemical used, but rather with the user mistiming the application. The second biggest issue is knowing what products will and will not work on mature grubs and growing grubs. Scotts GrubEx's active ingredient is chlorantraniliprole, a newer and excellent preventative agent. But note, it will not kill any mature grubs that you might be currently finding this spring. For that you will need a curative product. That is not a fault of the Grubex. The chemical just wont touch the larger grubs doing damage now. It will however, when correctly timed, do wonders for the fall eruption of grubs and the upcoming spring grubs since the lawn has now been preventatively treated. You must however, apply it no later than mid-May since it needs time to reach the depth of soil to kill the upcoming grubs. Apply GrubEx to soon and you will miss the following spring grubs. Apply GrubEx to late, and you miss this fall's grubs. Knowing this, I went out and got my bags of GrubEx and applied it 2 days ago. The spring rains have been quite steady now and I look forward to the results this year and next. This way I now will avoid needing the curative product in the spring and just reach for Scotts GrubEx for my season long protection in late-April to mid-May.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and only (1) application needed I just put this product on our lawn. I've been using it for the last 5+ years. It's so easy to use and you only need to apply it (1# time. I just waited for the rain to activate this product into our lawn/soil#or you can lightly water it in yourself#. I highly recommend it to anyone, who#m# is concerned about grub's#and many other insects) destroying the roots of their lawn.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well providing you put ample amount down. I would have rated it higher but I had a infestation of grubs but I had to do a second application. The second application did take care of the grubs. I may not have put enough down the first time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's making an impact so far My Yard & Plants were covered with Japanese Beetles in 2021 to the House I just moved into. 2022 Not sure what approach to take, I bought a Insect/Grub killer then realized it worked fast & ended fast (1 mo maybe 2?) & sprayed the Shrubs, bushes and Box roses with Bayer Japanese Beetle Insect Killer (it works), That will last for 14 days. in Early June I applied the Grub X. And so far the numbers seemed to be reduced by 90%. But it's only June 30 I might have to update this in July. In 2023 there will be an all out war on the beetles. I recommend applying in early April / late March then Re- Apply in Early June to have some over lapping of applications to saturate the soil with GrubX Killer. And Treat the Shrubs, bushes, roses etc. Heck, apply again in August for any residual beetles that may have lived.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from GrubEx Not Quite 5 Stars For the most part this product works for everything as listed, except Japanese Beetles, I'm still having to spray my rose bushes and other ornamentals for Japanese Beetles. Product does not work at keeping them out of our yard. The product is excellent otherwise. Easy to use with our rotary spreader,

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It actually works! Need to get rid of those Japanese beetle grubs before they go to work on your lawn? Try Scotts Grubex. If you apply it to your lawn before the Grubs are active, and then again, about two or three months from that point, you will succeed in keeping your grass intact and the Moles will not have any supper. However, it does upset the Crows, who love grubs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lable contradicts website info I have previously used a merit based product and switched to Grub Ex last year with good results. Not sure which is more effective. Label is confusing on watering in instructions. 2015 bag directions state water in lightly. Web site calls for 1 inch of water. Unless you have lots of rain, a sprinkler will have to run 6 to 8 hours to provide an inch of water. I know good watering habits require an inch a week, but unless it rains that's impossible. Will this still be effective with less water?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great product This is a great product. I have used this on two different yards in the past. It wiped out the grubs at my mother's house in one treatment. My house purchased last year took two years to eliminate the grubs, but the yard wasn't maintained for years. If the first treatment doesn't seem to work it did, just follow with another one next year and you will definitely see results.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does What it Says The first year I moved into my home I didn't get around to using GrubEx and my lawn got destroyed by grubs. Each year since then I've applied GrubEx as directed and no longer do I have patches of grass pulling up in chunks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Had grubs galore until using Grubex We had an infestation of grubs in our lawn. After using Grubex, the problem was dramatically reduced. The lawn has rebounded and with maintenance, will fully recover.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product, easy to use and effective This is the easy way to control grubs. It is effective in most conditions, although I've found I needed to apply a second round in some areas more heavily infested. It seems to have been very effective this year even with the hot dry weather.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works Great so Far Except! I live in NW Florida. We have a small lot but have a preserve behind us. There are many critters that come into our yard from there. We have tried to trap the Armadillos that come into our yard to feed with no success. Tried Spectride but no success. We purchased Grubex and have had succes for the grassy areas and around the bushes. We have some large areas where we have plants, roses etc. and that area we put in pine bark. The Armadillos have not stopped digging in those areas at all. We even put down another application and yest we water it in as instructed. They actually seem to be consentrating on those areas even more.
