Packed with nutrients to make your lawn green and vibrant, the yard food can be used on any type of grass, including Bahia, Bermuda, Bent, Centipede, Dichondra, Fescue, Kentucky Bluegrass, Rye, St. Augustine and Zoysia grasses. After all, well-fed lawns lead to green lawns, which clean air, prevent runoff and soil erosion, and make the great outdoors even greater. To apply, simply connect your garden hose to the sprayer, point the nozzle and spread evenly across your yard. Each 32 fl. oz. bottle covers up to 2,000 sq. ft. For best results, apply in early spring through late fall when heavy rain is not expected.

How to Use

• Connect the sprayer on the Scotts® Liquid Green Max™ Lawn Food bottle to your garden hose.
• Extend the hose to the furthest point of the yard.
• Turn the water on.
• Slide the thumb activation switch to ON.
• Evenly spray the entire yard.
• When finished feeding, slide the thumb activation switch backward to the OFF position.
• Turn off the water.
• Slide the thumb switch to WATER to relieve the water pressure before disconnecting the hose.
• When the water has slowed to a drip, slide the switch back to the OFF position.
• You can now disconnect the bottle and securely store it or dispose of it as appropriate.

Where Not to Use

• Do not apply near water, storm drains, or drainage ditches.

Where to Use

• Can be used on all grass types but it should be applied only to actively growing turf.

When to Apply

• Apply in the early spring to help grass green-up after winter. This feeding should take place around the first mow of the season. Feeding in the late spring thickens grass in order to prepare for summer stresses. It also helps build strong roots.
• An early fall feeding, when the grass comes out of dormancy, replenishes nutrients lost in the harsh summer months.
• A late fall feeding, when all of the leaves have fallen, builds strong, deep roots and prepares the grass for winter.
• Do not apply in any season if heavy rains are expected.

• Mowing high allows the grass to grow a deep root system. It also helps your lawn use water more efficiently.
