Description
Nothing is better than lush, green grass. Scotts® Turf Builder® Lawn Food is a fertilizer that feeds and strengthens your grass to help protect against future problems. This fertilizer also builds strong, deep roots and improves the lawn's ability to absorb water and nutrients (vs. unfed lawn). Scotts® Turf Builder® Lawn Food can be used on any grass type. Apply the product to a wet or dry lawn. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 3 ½. For Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 6 ½. For Scotts® Wizz®, use a setting of 3 ¾. If fast results are desired, lightly water the product in after application; however, watering is not required. Return unused product to original container, and sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk, or street back onto your lawn. One 12.5 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder Lawn Food covers 5,000 sq. ft.
Step by Step Instructions
Apply to wet or dry lawn. If temperatures are consistently exceeding 90°F, water immediately after application to reduce stress on your lawn. For best results, use a Scotts® spreader.

Turf Builder -- Lawn Food
Last year, I decided to stray from my routine use of Scotts products and try a local distributors fertilizer, as I had evidently become so used to the greenness of my lawn that I actually believed that it could become even healthier. I suspect that this is a common assurance amongst people who actually spend the time and money to make their lawn the very best. Anyhow, I purchased a fertilizing product from Jonathon Green and applied as directed. Within two weeks, it became obvious that my soil and grass had not responded to it and, although there had been no damage as my lawn is extremely stable, the treatment did nothing for the growth of my lawn and it remained in its transitional stage from spring grass to summer grass. In short, I lost about a month of lushness. Having returned to my senses, I then purchased Scotts Turf Builder Plus and applied as directed— easily accomplished as the instructions on the back are very clear. Within a little over a week, I was comforted by the return of greenness to my lawn, the thickness of growth, and the drowning out of any inert plants that are a normal part of even the best of seed mix. As any respectable do-it-yourselfer will attest, a thick and healthy lawn is always the best defense against weeds. I have been using the Scotts product line for more than thirteen years now and, following my unfortunate stray, plan to stick with it from hereon. The plan is simple, reasonably priced, and effective.

Good Product
I have been in the Scotts Lawn Program for many years and have learned over the years that the product is only as good as the person putting it down, properly. If you follow the instructions according to, the back of each product you cannot go wrong and based on buying the product that meets the square footage of your lawn. There is no reason why any one person, cannot achieve a nice green lawn. That's if you follow the complete program. I highly recommend this and all lawn products.

Great product, no complaints
I use this stuff every time I fertilize. It's a great all-around mix of nutrients and keeps my lawn looking great. It's kid and pet-friendly too, so no need to quarantine the little ones after an application. Just water it in and you're done.

Great all-rounder
This is my go-to, no fret fertiliser, it can be applied to any lawn at anytime and always gives good results about a week later, and unlike other products any spilt product won't burn your lawn or stain your driveway. I find two good annual feedings along with a weekly cut during growing season give great results.

Great fertilizer
Been using Southern Turf Builder for the last 8 years and I have a Zoysia. lawn that looks like a carpet. I have very few weeds, only have to spot spray and the water use is down. This is a product that works and gives very good results, just follow the directions and fertilize as needed.

Thick and Hardy!
I only use Scott products for my lawn. I use the appropriate fertilizer for the time of year. Here in Texas where hot is truly hot it is most important to fertilize and water at the right times. Scott's makes that all very easy and timely. The result...thick and hardy St. Augustine grass!

Follow the directions !!
I have used this product for over 20 years. my neighbors have actually switched to Scotts after I told them how I kept my lawn so green
You do not need to use water on the initial application but I always do just to keep it damp
What I have found is following the instructions is very important
It is a great lawn food and you do not need to give any more than the bag suggests
It will not make your lawn greener but it may cause some brown spots

I have been using this product for over 25 years when I bought my first home. One can rely on Scott's quality and reputation for successful gardening and lawn care. I have never been disappointed with the results after using Turf Builder as well as other Scott's products. My wife is a believer in Miracle - Gro and uses it every growing season. Great Product for healthy lawn
I use Scotts Turf Builder Lawn Food and my yard and lawn could not look better. I also very much like the Scotts weed & feed, and in the fall when I areate and overseed always use Scotts starter and always been pleased. My neighbors think I have my lawn professionally done by a lawn service but why should I when Scotts has a product for all my needs.

Bank up job saving new sodded lawn
