Description
Nothing is better than lush, green grass. Scotts® Turf Builder® Lawn Food is a fertilizer that feeds and strengthens your grass to help protect against future problems. This fertilizer also builds strong, deep roots and improves the lawn's ability to absorb water and nutrients (vs. unfed lawn). Scotts® Turf Builder® Lawn Food can be used on any grass type. Apply the product to a wet or dry lawn. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 3 ½. For Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 6 ½. For Scotts® Wizz®, use a setting of 3 ¾. If fast results are desired, lightly water the product in after application; however, watering is not required. Return unused product to original container, and sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk, or street back onto your lawn. One 12.5 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder Lawn Food covers 5,000 sq. ft.
Step by Step Instructions
Apply to wet or dry lawn. If temperatures are consistently exceeding 90°F, water immediately after application to reduce stress on your lawn. For best results, use a Scotts® spreader.

My Lawn - Best in Neighborhood !!!
I contacted the company that put the lawns in our neighborhood. I called them and asked how to make my grass green and beautiful.
I was told to use Scott's Turf Builder and I did. In a short time, my lawn was so beautiful and green, that neighbors would see me out front and pull into my driveway to ask how my lawn looked so good. It was the absolute best in the area. Other lawns were brown from winter, and mine was gorgeous green !!! I'd go to the garage and bring out my bag and show them. Then, I'd tell them how I used it, and soon, most in the neighborhood were buying Scott's Turf Builder as well. Of course, my yard still looked best of any.

Keeps your grass looking great all year.
I've been using the Turf Builder three times a year and my lawn looks great all year. The late Fall application keeps the grass green through the winter, the early Spring application keeps the weeds out. I had tried other brands and I just didn't get the results I wanted. One brand burned the grass and left a yellow band of burned grass on the lawn. Another seemed to fertilize the weeds more than the grass. The Turf Builder is just the best!

You Get What You Pay For
Scott products tend to cost more than the competition's, and definitely more so than "private label" products offered through farm products retailers. This said, even a homeowner like myself (i. e., not a horticulturalist or landscaper) can repeatedly get superior results with Scott's "Turf Builder". In fact, after using "Turf Builder" almost exclusively for the past fifteen years (I have tried a time or two to save a few dollars and go with a private label/bargain product, and/or to save a half hour or so and pay a "professional" lawn care company to spray my yard), I no longer even find the need to apply weed inhibitors or herbicides, as the turf is sufficiently healthy to choke out problem elements. Again, I'm a homeowner who scoots out during half-times and seventh-inning-stretches, applies "Turf Builder" to my KY Bluegrass yard (in Ohio), without necessarily applying under "ideal" conditions, and I still get excellent results by fertilizing four to five times per season. My yard always appears better than the surrounding neighbors, who try to rely on either budget products, or lawn care "professionals". I won't go on. Buy the stuff -- it works, and you do in fact get what you pay for, provided you're after a healthy, lush and green yard to begin with.

made my grass go from brown to green
I had tried everything to get my lawn out of the Home owners association hit list, use to get letter after letter f4om them telling me to get my yard fixed. I did some research and began in early spring with Scotts weed and feed. Then I followed up in early May with Scotts lawn food. Wow to my surprise all the weeds were gone and my lawn became one of gbe best in the nrighborhood. Thank you Scotts will use your products for all my needs

Greenest lawn on the block
I put this down in the spring and had the greenest lawn on the block within about 3 weeks. It has stayed a dark healthy green all summer long too. I have watched neighbors and friends pay a lot of money to the lawn care services and their lawns look terrible. I use Scotts, save a bundle of money and have a great looking yard.

Great product
Have use Scotts and ONLY Scotts for over 20 years. People always stop and ask who does my yard. I tell them I do and I use Scotts. I use the 4 strp program. NEVER a weed. A distinct line between my yard and the neighbor. He doesnt do anything. Mine is dark green and looks GREAT. Had family over from out of state. They were shocked how the grass felt barefoot. I will NEVER use anyother brand. If you want a great yard, Scotts is the only way to get it!

Fantastic All Purpose Lawn Food
I use Scotts products 4 x per year. I have the best lawn on the street. That's not my assessment but that of my neighbors. Scotts, in addition to Lime 4 x per season, makes a fantastic lawn. Go Scotts!

easy to use, works great
I began with plain Turf Builder in 1965. Since then I have used just about all your relevant lawn products. However, Turf Builder is the classic. It works well and never burns no matter when you use it. Even after the formula was changed because we could no longer use the Phosphates, the product still is the best on the market.

Turf builder southern blend
This product saved me from having to re sod my whole lawn. I applied it the first of each month from May to September and bingo the zoysia came back so strong it filled in all gaps and began choking out the weeds. I highly recommend this product. Thanks Scotts.

Makes my job easier
I went from living out in the country and just mowing my yard to living in a suburb with a large lawn. Not knowing what to do or expect, I turned to Scott's and my yard is better for it. I live in Texas were we get extreme heat and are in a drought, yet my lawn stays green (I only water three times a week). My lawn stays green until the fall longer than the lawns around us, is greener faster and even while I see other people watering the only difference is that I use fertilizer and they do not. I use a Scott feeder and the number selection is on the Scott's product and I am off feeding. I do feed spring, summer, and fall.

We never miss with Turf Builder...
We have used Turf Builder and Turf Building Plus 2 for years on our "normal" size lawn. Now that we've moved onto acreage, we have 5 acres that we want to look as good as our small yard did. We chose Turf Builder because we have never burnt out our lawn from too much product...that just doesn't happen with Turf Builder and our lawn is always greener than the neighbors. In fact we received the yard of the year in our development for several straight year. Looking forward to seeing what it will do with our "huge" yard.

Always dependable performance

I love Scott's Truf Builder
My lawn has been the envy of my neighbors ever since we moved in. Our front yards were hydro-seeded over mostly clay soil by the developer. I reseed each year with Scott's Turf builder with grass seed in the fall and it stays green and rich year around. I feed it Scott's Turf Builder regularly and a couple of years ago I started adding a feeding of it with Scott's Weed & Feed. I've had great results. I cut my lawn high, three inches, as per the recommendation of the Ag teacher where I taught and this time of year while my neighbors lawns are scorched with yellow and brown patches by the summer heat mine is so green some of them stop by and ask me how I do it. Good Product
I've used Scotts for many years and very please how my lawn looks. I follow the directions and apply several times during the growing season, and also during the off season. My neighbors kid me that "my lawn is going to look like yours some day". Not if they dont use Scotts. I am the best lawn service

It greened the lawn nicely but the longvity was not there. I wanted a seasonal greening but only got 2 months of greening from this product. Reapplications was required. Would be nice to have a one and done product.
