Description
Nothing is better than lush, green grass. Scotts® Turf Builder® Lawn Food is a fertilizer that feeds and strengthens your grass to help protect against future problems. This fertilizer also builds strong, deep roots and improves the lawn's ability to absorb water and nutrients (vs. unfed lawn). Scotts® Turf Builder® Lawn Food can be used on any grass type. Apply the product to a wet or dry lawn. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 3 ½. For Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 6 ½. For Scotts® Wizz®, use a setting of 3 ¾. If fast results are desired, lightly water the product in after application; however, watering is not required. Return unused product to original container, and sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk, or street back onto your lawn. One 12.5 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder Lawn Food covers 5,000 sq. ft.
Step by Step Instructions
Apply to wet or dry lawn. If temperatures are consistently exceeding 90°F, water immediately after application to reduce stress on your lawn. For best results, use a Scotts® spreader.

I used this product immediately before a heavy rain and I am very pleased with the results! It does not eliminate weeds, but my grass is much greener and thicker than before! My neighbour had a lawn care company come to his yard and our lawns are now comparable!

Good product and bang for your buck
I'm surprised at how good this product really is. I've used it only in the spring, for two years. Currently, we are having a very hot summer with less rain than I have ever seen in 25+ years in Western Canada. We are on once-a-week watering restrictions, and I've been obeying the rules, but my lawn is green and lush, whereas other lawns are suffering. At first, I thought it was an expensive product, but one uses so very little of it, that the high initial outlay is spread out over a couple of seasons, so it all evens out.

Long lasting,really works
One application each season works for us.I use only a Scott's handheld spreader(others brands are poor quality)I also mulch summer grass and collect clippings in the spring/fall.Have not found any other brand to equal Scott's.Tad spendy ,BUT WORKS !

For a green and thick lawn
Have used this product for all 15 years so far in my house. Apply it about every 6-8 weeks. There is only one drawback to the thick, green lawn.... need to cut the grass more frequently. :) It is definitely worth it. When your grass looks that nice, it tends to be more enjoyable when you have to cut it. Now this product doesn't control the weeds, so if you need a thick and green lawn with weed control, purchase the Scotts Weed control product.

Best Lawn in the Neighborhood
I have used Scotts Turf Builder and Plus 2 on my lawn for the last 20 years and have always had the best looking yard in the neighborhood. My neighbor has a service and his yard is full of weeds and never looks as good as mine. I would never use anything other than Scotts.

I used this product in combination with Scotts Grass Seed. My lawn is the envy of the neighborhood. I have thick, lush, green grass. My mailman stopped and asked what I used on my lawn to make it so green and lush. I've even had strangers stop (while I'm working on my garden beds) and ask how I get my lawn to look so beautiful. Greener grass
I alteranate this product with Bonus S Weed and Feed and I have a great looking lawn all year round. My lawn doesn't seem to dry up as fast as my neighbors lawns. My grass is always green but I do need to cut my lawn more often but the looks and satisfaction when all is done is well worth it. My weeds are under control as well.

Excellent product.
I have been using turf builder ever 6 weeks during the spring and summer months for many many years. Never disappointed. I would recommend this product to everyone, and believe me I do. Keeps the grass thick and prevents weeds from growing. I also use the other products. Thank you.

Scott's turf builder beats all others
I have used Scott's turf builder for 48 years and continue to use it. I seeded my lawn in August of 1966 and have had one of the best lawns in our area for 48 years. People stop and walk on it to insure it is real. They also take pictures of front yard as we have many flowers. I even won a lawn mower for having the best lawn in the Quad-Cities about 20 years ago. No need to use a weed killer as lawn so thick that few weeds ever grow in it.

It's easy to see the results of using Scott's Turf Builder when comparing my lawn and the neighbors surrounding me. After application and a good soaking rain my yard takes on a deep green that is noticeable when compared to the non Scott's lawns adjacent to our home. As much as I enjoy the lush, green grass on top of the ground it is great to know that the quality of Scott's fertilizer is building a great foundation below the surface.
In years past, I had used cheaper products but when I bought and compared both the quality of Scott's over the cheaper brand and the superior results that Scott's provides the choice became clear-use Scott's.
Building and maintaining my lawn takes effort and time but by using a quality product I can depend on like Scott's I can look back at the end of the day and say a job well done.

Great product if you can afford it!
I love this product. I have been using it for years, until the price went up several years ago...(probably to pay for the silly commercials) I used it twice a year and it made for a wonderfully green and healthy lawn. Now I use a competitor brand and it still works well.

Product is easy to use.
I have moved 11 times (military), living in several states with different types of grass making up the lawns. Many times, previous owners did not care about their lawn, so when I arrived, I set about improving the quality of my new lawn. Without major overhaul, for instance digging up the existing lawn and starting over, I was able to nurse these lawns back to health, using Turfbuilder alone. I didn't even use weed killer versions, just strait Turfbuilder. By the time I was ready to go to my next duty station, I had one of the best lawns in the neighborhood.

Don't be fooled
I've tried the other brands and nothing compares to Scotts. My neighbors call me "Mr. Greenlawn". When companies contact me wanting to do my lawn I laugh at them and tell them why would I want it to look worse. I've had two neighbors tell me they hate living by me because my lawn is so fantastic.

Scotts Turf Builder Lawn Food works great
We used the Scotts Turf Lawn Food on our yard to get our grass greened up and give it the nutrients that it needed, and it really seems to have worked great. I would recommend this product to anyone. Our grass seems to be healthier which is not something that I really thought about before in helping to control the weeds and crabgrass we have. If you have healthy grass, then it can help keep those pests at bay! If your lawn needs a boost, try this product!

Great product!
Tried other brands of fertilizers but nothing compares to Scott's. Makes lawns greener and last longer than other brands. They have done a great job on their research of their products and would recommend them highly.Have been using them for several years and will keep using them because of the great results I get with them.
