Description

Nothing is better than lush, green grass. Scotts® Turf Builder® Lawn Food is a fertilizer that feeds and strengthens your grass to help protect against future problems. This fertilizer also builds strong, deep roots and improves the lawn's ability to absorb water and nutrients (vs. unfed lawn). Scotts® Turf Builder® Lawn Food can be used on any grass type. Apply the product to a wet or dry lawn. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 3 ½. For Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 6 ½. For Scotts® Wizz®, use a setting of 3 ¾. If fast results are desired, lightly water the product in after application; however, watering is not required. Return unused product to original container, and sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk, or street back onto your lawn. One 12.5 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder Lawn Food covers 5,000 sq. ft.

Step by Step Instructions

Apply to wet or dry lawn. If temperatures are consistently exceeding 90°F, water immediately after application to reduce stress on your lawn. For best results, use a Scotts® spreader.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Won't Get Away From This Ever Again Had been using, then got away from for whatever reason for several years and only used steer manure in the fall, and began noticing dead spots in the yard and not as lush of a green color. Have used twice now in the last 8 months or so and wow, what a difference. The dead spots filled in quickly and the lawn began growing like crazy with a lush, green color. Will still do steer manure in fall, but will definitely do at least two spreads of this lawn food in addition. I'm in Southern California with St. Augustine.

However, I wish you would make liquid Turf Builder in a 64 oz or 1 gallon bottle so I mix my own. I like to spoon feed my lawn every week or so using 8-10 ounces per 1,000 square feet and a larger bottle would be great. Besides the current 32 oz is too hard to open with that hose connection on it. Just a thought for the thousands of us spoon feeding.
