Description

Nothing is better than lush, green grass. Scotts® Turf Builder® Lawn Food is a fertilizer that feeds and strengthens your grass to help protect against future problems. This fertilizer also builds strong, deep roots and improves the lawn's ability to absorb water and nutrients (vs. unfed lawn). Scotts® Turf Builder® Lawn Food can be used on any grass type. Apply the product to a wet or dry lawn. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 3 ½. For Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 6 ½. For Scotts® Wizz®, use a setting of 3 ¾. If fast results are desired, lightly water the product in after application; however, watering is not required. Return unused product to original container, and sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk, or street back onto your lawn. One 12.5 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder Lawn Food covers 5,000 sq. ft.

Step by Step Instructions

Apply to wet or dry lawn. If temperatures are consistently exceeding 90°F, water immediately after application to reduce stress on your lawn. For best results, use a Scotts® spreader.

I was not satisfied. I went on Scotts web site and a yearly plan was designed for me. Using Scott seed and Turf Builder [part of the 4 step program] in just one year my lawn is fuller, greener and looks the best in years! Thanks Scott for making it so easy!

It has made our front lawn so much thicker and greener the whole summer long. The reason I started using it, was that my wife said our front lawn was always dry and prickly, and she did not want to walk on it with bare feet. Now, the whole family walks on it barefoot.

We have used Scotts Turf Builder for many years and it has given us a beautiful lawn that is very thick and lush green. Because it gives us these features, we are able to maintain a weed free lawn in which we can spend many relaxing hours. We will continue to use this product as long as it is available.

I have used different products over that period from off brand names to other brand names and Scotts always sticks out. I moved a few years ago and I'm retired now so I have more time to do this and the research is easy to get. Any way I tried the turf builder for the first time and my lawn is really healthy and thick. I applied the turf builder in june and we had some real nice rains and it really crowds out the weeds like it says. I have to look real hard to find any weeds. Thank you Scotts for this product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent prodeuct I have used several different products over the years, but none compare over to Turfbuilder. Some will green up the lawn, but they fade quickly. When I bought my last house, the former owners sprayed the lawn and garden with a herbicide, thus killing everything in sight. I watered the ground for a couple of weeks and found a few sprigs of grass coming up. I applied Scotts four times throughout the year and I now have the best lawn in the neighborhood. It's so thick, that I don't even have weeds. It's tempting to buy a cheaper brands, but results are short lived.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Performance I have a 3 year old home with about 20,000 square feet of lawn. I am one of only a few neighbors who take care of the lawn totally by themselves. This year I used Scott products exclusively on my lawn and the results gave been spectacular! It has been a relatively cool summer, but nonetheless, this us the best that I gave ever had a long appear in the heart of the summer. My lawn appears as nice as the best professionally managed lawns in my neighborhood which consists of about 150 one acre plus properties. Thanks Scott.

Fertilizers really work I have used The Scotts Lawn Seed, with exceptional results, I keep my lawn Thick, Green, and weed free using all the Scotts lawn Products, for a fantastic looking Lawn. I mow to a height of 41/2" to 5 " but you would never know by looking at it that it is that high.... until you walk on it and realize how strong and thick the grass actually is.
