Description
Nothing is better than lush, green grass. Scotts® Turf Builder® Lawn Food is a fertilizer that feeds and strengthens your grass to help protect against future problems. This fertilizer also builds strong, deep roots and improves the lawn's ability to absorb water and nutrients (vs. unfed lawn). Scotts® Turf Builder® Lawn Food can be used on any grass type. Apply the product to a wet or dry lawn. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 3 ½. For Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 6 ½. For Scotts® Wizz®, use a setting of 3 ¾. If fast results are desired, lightly water the product in after application; however, watering is not required. Return unused product to original container, and sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk, or street back onto your lawn. One 12.5 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder Lawn Food covers 5,000 sq. ft.
Step by Step Instructions
Apply to wet or dry lawn. If temperatures are consistently exceeding 90°F, water immediately after application to reduce stress on your lawn. For best results, use a Scotts® spreader.

Great product Scott! But....!
Have used it forever, so what a disappointment to find it reduced to 4000 sq. ft bag. This site says it still comes in 5M and 15M sq. ft bags. So many people I know are aggravated by this change of the perfect size. Not enough to complete my lawn and many of our friends. Never mind a little left to touch up missed spots.

The product absolutely greens up the lawn, but be sure to stay on top of watering for it to work. If your lawn doesn't have an inch of water each week, the results are minimal.

Amazing results!
We purchased Scott's Turf Builder a few months back and put it on our lawn, which has several weeds, clovers, & has looked unhealthy. It has been just over a month since we placed it on the lawn and it looks amazing now! Weeds are going away and lawn is greening up and the grass looks so healthy! Took my grass from nothing but weeds to the best on the block!
About four years ago my lawn was pathetic. It was basically nothing but weeds with a little grass to show. I decided to try the Scotts system to see how it worked. I had no idea what I was doing and initially I bought the wrong fertilizer for the season I was in and burned my lawn. I realized after the fact that I had cut my lawn too short and applied it on a day that was over 90 degrees and didn't water it in. So, I started over and this time I used the right product and followed the directions carefully. After a year my lawn looked much better but was not perfect. However, now at year 4 and using the product as directed, my lawn is lush and dark green. It is the best lawn on the block! It was able to establish a good root system and it feels like carpet when I walk on it. I admit it was a learning curve when I started using the product but after getting to know when, how, and how often to use Scott's, I would not use any other brand! Thanks Scott's.

Very good!
I tried organic or natural products because I had concerns about my kids and dog playing on the grass. They were ok but I decided to go back to Scott's after seeing it was safe for kids and pets. Put it down a couple of days ago and did not water in. Got lucky with some rain and sunny days and boy am I pleased. Lawn has noticeably greened up already!

Great product but this year 2017 the 5000 sq ft bag went to 4000
Scotts is the best. But, I am dissatisfied they reduced the 5000 sq ft bag to 4000. A 4000 is not enough so you are forced to buy two 4000, the cost is up and too much.
Scotts please offer the 5000 sq ft bag again......

The best Fertilizer available
I have use this product the last 7 years. At times I experiment with other fertilizers. They don't compare to Scotts. My grass is a deep dark green all year round

Amazing product
Finally, a product that works just like it says it will.
I can't say enough good things about this lawn food.
My lawn was starting to crunch, and was not looking very healthy.
Once I applied this product, my grass greened up within a week and now grows like crazy, and with less watering. I have a lush beautiful lawn. In fact, I think it's the best looking in the neighborhood. I have to mow it every week or it's almost impossible to mow with my push mower. Hey, don't laugh, I like the exercise.
So run, don't walk, and buy this lawn food. You won't be sorry.

Good stuff!
I've used Turf Builder on several lawns over the course of 50 years. I have never been disappointed. The weed and feed product didn't work for me, but the plain Turf Builder has always made the lawn lush and green. I get a kick out of the reviews that say it burned up the lawn or, in one case, it made the lawn magically full of clover. You would really have to overapply this fertilizer by a lot to see any burning and as far as the clover goes, well, that person sure can work some magic with a spreader and some fertilizer!

Thank You!!! Best lawn product Ive ever used!!!!
Ive fought and struggled with my lawns for 40 years! And struggled with my lawn where I live now for 20 years. My lawn was almost non existent when I moved in 20 years ago and I used and tried ( by the directions on the bags and supposed experts) numerous products but only achieved marginal success. I live in an area with a clay soil so that is also a challenge. 4 years ago I bought a new spreader and had the setting to high the first time I used it and burned the heck out of my lawn with the fertilizer I was using. Last summer I asked a neighbor who had moved in a couple of years ago what he used that had made his lawn look so good. Of course it was Scotts Turf Builder. And I asked the maintenance people at my work what they used as the lawns at my office always looked great and it didnt seem like they do very much to have it look that good. Once again Scotts Turf Builder. So I tried it!! After only one season my struggling lawn is thick and looking the best it has in 20 years! It is thick and green and I think by this summers end my weeds will be almost gone because it is so healthy and thick. I have tried numerous additives and fertilizers and simple Scotts Turf Builder applications over 1 season worked wonders!! Thank You Scotts!

Problems with my lawn...hired 2 different lawn services...with no satisfaction.
I used other lawn products over the years and never paid attention to the brand. Then I bought Scotts on the recommendation of a friend who had a beautiful lawn. I used the 4 step program for the last 10 years. However the lawn developed problems with weeds and dying grass so I hired 2 different lawn service companies. That only made matters worse. They were expensive and not reliable. I switched back to Scotts. Then I discovered your Lawn Food for all grass types. It has worked miracles. My grass is thick and green. Cant wait til Spring!

Gets good results everytime
Scotts Turf Builder has always produced a thicker and greener lawn without burning. It feeds for nearly two months. Have tried other brands occasionally, but always come back to Scotts because it simply performs better.

Best product ever!
We've been using this product for many years! It performs great all the time. Several of our neighbors have a lawn service, we prefer to take care of our lawn ourselves. Our neighbors always comment on how green and lush our St. Augustine lawn is, compared to their lawns. Want The Best Lawn in The Neighborhood??
Your neighbors will wonder what the heck you did to your lawn, when you start using Scotts Turf Builder ! I am a landscape contractor, in New Hampshire. We have a short growing season, so you have to use the best products available, and I always use and recommend to the customer, to use Scotts !! I also like this product because I know that every particle in the bag is exactly the same. Feed It !!

Used with Overseeding! Great Results in 14 Days!
I applied Scots Turf Builder Lawn Food the same day I thatched, plug aerated, and over seeded part of my lawn with RTF Fescue. Within 14 days the lawn was noticeably better.

I used this product immediately before a heavy rain and I am very pleased with the results! It does not eliminate weeds, but my grass is much greener and thicker than before! My neighbour had a lawn care company come to his yard and our lawns are now comparable!
