Scotts® Turf Builder® Starter® Food for New GrassFL is specially designed to be used when planting new grass in Florida. It contains a combination of nutrients to help your new lawn grow strong roots and to grow in thicker and faster than if not fed at all. It can be used anytime you're planting new grass, whether it's starting a new lawn, reseeding an existing one, or installing sod, sprigs, or grass plugs. Scotts® Turf Builder® Starter® Food for New GrassFL is safe to use on any grass type. Apply to a dry lawn. It can be applied immediately before or after planting grass; for best results, apply two weeks after seeding. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 4 ¾. For Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 10. For Scotts® Wizz® spreader, use a setting of 4 ½. Water daily or as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall. One 3.27 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® Starter® Food for New GrassFL covers 1,000 sq. ft.

How to Use

• Scotts® Turf Builder® Fall Lawn Food is an easy way to reseed a lawn and help a new lawn grow strong roots.

• Simply apply lawn fertilizer to a dry lawn with a Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreader by walking at a steady pace. Each pass should be no more than 5' away from the previous one to ensure overlap.

• If using a Scotts® drop spreader to apply this fall lawn treatment, align the hopper wheel with the tracks from the previous pass and continue across the lawn at a steady pace.

Where to Use

• Apply Scotts® Turf Builder® Fall Lawn Food to any actively growing grass type and before, or after, planting new grass.

When to Apply

• Apply Scotts® Turf Builder® Fall Lawn Food when the lawn is dry.

• An early fall feeding will replenish the nutrients that lawns lose in the summer and help to grow new grass.

• For best results, apply 2 weeks after seeding.

• Water as needed so that the soil stays moist until the seedlings are at least 2" tall.
