Description
Moss problem? Kill moss, not your lawn with Scotts® Turf Builder® with Moss Control. This lawn care product kills moss and feeds your lawn to help fill in bare spots and thicken grass, all in an effort to make moss a problem of the past. Apply the combination moss killer and grass fertilizer during winter or spring when moss is actively growing. The product is for use on most grass types and is best applied when the lawn is moist and tall grass has been mowed to expose low growing moss. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product. For Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 5 for the regular rate or 5 ¾ for the heavy rate. For Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 8 for the regular rate or 8 ½ for the heavy rate. Grass blades may temporarily turn black after application; however, this condition will disappear after mowing. Always wait 6 to 8 weeks between applications. One 25 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® with Moss Control covers up to 5,000 sq. ft.

This product performs better than other similar products I have tried.
Scotts Turf Builder with Moss Control provides more even and longer term coverage than other products I have tried. Though it is slightly more expensive, for me it has been substantially more effective at moss control and fertilizing than any combination of other products that I have tried. I have used on my lawn and horse paddocks here in western Washington and am very pleased with it performance.

Perfect combination for a healthy lawn in my soil
My lawn is lush and green when I use Scotts Turf Builder with Moss Control in the soil in my lawn which has a lot of fir tree influence year round. The PH from Scotts Turf Builder with Moss Control must balance that of the natural soil in my area which has had a lot of fir trees in the past and still has the influence of needles and cones from neighboring firs.

It works!!!
Found this last summer. Finally a product that really does kill & control moss in the lawn. I do not need it on the whole lawn, just spots near the house. So with gloves on I use a small plastic container to scoop some out of the bag and shake it out over the areas of moss growth. No mixing, no sprayers - just grab it out of the shed, scoop, shake & put away. YEAH!

Quick, easy, and effective results even when the moss is super thick!
The last couple of winters in the Pacific Northwest have been very mild and wet causing large amounts of moss to grow in my lawn. This was the first time I had ever used Turf Builder with Moss Control. The moss in my lawn was so thick that it was hard to push the lawnmower through it. For a moment, I wondered if I should use more product than the indicated amount. After reading more closely, I'm happy to say that following the directions gave splendid results, even with the extremely thick moss build-up. After two weeks, my lawn is healthier and greener, and I've begun raking the dead moss out to make way for a thicker lawn. My lawn is well on the way to becoming beautiful again.

Works well
Have Moss every year after the winter. Every year for the last 5 I have thrown down this Moss control fertilizer and have had great success e cent last year. Contacted customer service and received advise and rebate on the purchase. Bought it again this year and grass looks great already.

Terrific prodict for NW Weather and the moss that comes each winter
I have used this product for a couple of years now with great results each time. In the Pacific NW (Oregon) moss is a problem each year but varies in intensity depending on how wet the winter and spring
The 2-13 winter and 2014 spring was very wet with lots of moss showing up in my 5K area lawn. Your product wiped it out almose completely on the first application. A small follow up application cleaned up the very small amount left.

fast acting and efficient
for years I was battling how to control moss growing all around my home. After reading articles on this site i decided to use this product. Wow did this work. In just a few hours after application i could see results. Most impressive was the result on the thickest moss growth. The grass also changed to a deep green. Very happy

Great Product
We started using Turff Builder a few years ago, and noticed an improvement in our lawns colour and thickness. We now use it 2x a year, and with Weed control to help with the dandelions, our lawn is the best we have ever enjoyed. Our lawn is nearly a half acre, so this work is expensive, bur cheaper than re-sodding, which is something we had done in the past.

Always dependable
I have used Scott Products for 40 yrs and it has never disappointed me. Only this Spring I used the Turf Builder on a yard I have just moved to and needed help badly. The weeds have now gone and I have nice "green" grass and empty patches of which I am delighted to fill with new grass where the weeds were. I had forgotten how fast and effective the Turf Builder works, my old yard was a long time Scotts yard and looked great. This new one is not such a challenge after all with the Turf Builder to help me.

First time use
I used this product for the first time this year for an area under a large shade tree that's always got moss growing underneath. After one application, the moss is retreating and the grass is growing back in. As this is the first time for me for this product, I consider this a trial run. I'll continue to use it to see if it keeps the moss under control. So far, I"m happy with the product.

First time using it and it's working so far.
Spread this on and the next day after rain the moss turned black. I hope this works because my moss has been getting worse each year. I've tried spray on moss control with little success so I'm hoping this finally does the trick. We live in a wooded area in WA state near the Puget Sound and I would just like to have a nice lawn again without the moss.

lawn has come a long way
If you are looking for a quick fix, just replant your whole lawn. But over 2 seasons our lawn if finally looking like grass instead of weeds. We don't use it in the backyard because we have dogs and worry about the safety so it's taking longer to get in shape.

Great after two uses!
This is a great product. You see the moss dying as it turns black. Have think moss in the Pacific NW. Used this product twice this Spring and Moss is loosing the battle!

Not the product line it use to be!
Hello, I used Turf Builder with Moss control. The grass greened up a little, but the moss is still in grass in abundance. I think was it’s another gimmick to sell more fertilizer because it did not work at all not even a little. Scott’s use to be a product that you depend on for making great products, but not so much anymore.

I bought and used 4 bags about 2 weeks ago and the moss is still alive and thriving. Very disappointed and a colossal waste of money as very little moss has been killed (see attached pictures). I followed all the instructions. I used vinegar last year and should have done so this year.

warning: will leave a permanent stain when wet
i bought this by mistake and used it near my patio. some sprinkles fell on my deck and got rained on. i tried everything i had (clorox etc) to get it off. finally had to call a contractor to use acid on it

did not even touch the moss
applied as directed to a moist lawn mainly to get rid of the moss in my yard and fertilize in one application. While the grass looks healthy it did absolutely nothing to the moss, which is still just as abundant as before I applied it last week. 40$ not well spent in my opinion.

Kills grass
I applied the recommended amount with a scotts rotary spreader. This was followed by a lot of rain. After two weeks my lawn is thin and presents yellow stripes. The product is not specific to moss but also hurts grass, it seems.
In retrospect I should not have attempted to control moss chemically. Moss is green and comfy and its replacement would be mud. Moss is the natural species for my shady yard.
I feel terrible now each time I walk into my yard. I hope you heed the advice and leave moss be. I sure will in the future.
