DESCRIPTION
Scotts® EZ Seed® Dog Spot Repair has a special salt neutralizer formula that minimizes the effects of salts from dog urine and repairs up to 100 dog spots in your lawn. Dog Spot Repair Sun and Shade consists of a combination of high performance Perennial Ryegrass, Fine Fescue and Kentucky Bluegrass grass seed, mulch that expands to surround the seed, a soil amendment that helps repair areas burned by dog urine, tackifier to help keep seeds from washing away and a protectant to help keep seeds safe. There are three easy steps to success: 1) prep the area by removing dead grass and loosening hard soil, 2) evenly apply EZ Seed® so the area is mostly covered but bare ground is still visible, and 3) saturate with water until no more water is being absorbed and seed turns dark brown. When EZ Seed® begins to turn light brown, it's time to water again. Plant seed in the spring or fall when daily average soil temperatures are consistently between 55°F and 70°F, or air temperatures between 60°F and 80°F. For best results, keep kids, pets, and lawn mowers off newly planted seedlings until the grass is 3 inches high.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
PREP
- Simply prepare the area you want to grow grass. Remove dead grass and loosen hard soil to help tiny seedlings root.
APPLY
- Evenly apply EZ Seed® so the area is mostly covered, but bare ground is still visible so that seed contacts the soil. The mulch will expand 4X upon watering to help cover the seed and keep it moist (Use half as much for thin areas). Only apply the recommended amount so that seedlings have enough space to access water and nutrients.
WATER
- A deep and thorough initial watering is the key to success. Gently water the area until EZ Seed® is completely saturated and no more water is being absorbed (may take several minutes). Avoid pooling water. When EZ Seed® begins to turn light brown, it's time to water again. Continue to water daily as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall.

- Fall and spring are the best times to plant grass seed, because seed germinates best when temperatures are between 60°F and 80°F.

Grass!

Simple to use.
Easy to sprinkle in bald spots caused by the dogs running the same pattern. Grass grew very quickly which was great. Hardest part was keeping the dog aways from that corner. Loved how easy it was to use.

Better lawn
This product was very easy to use and is very reasonably priced. I used it on several bare spots on my lawn and the spots have regenerated back to nice thick grass with no additional fertilizer or seeds

Ez seed is my favorite seed to use when patching or filling in small areas in the yard. It comes with everything all in one package, fertilizer, mulch, seed, no need to get multiple bags of everything. It grows in really lush.

Bare Spot Touchup
Great to touch up small bare spots due to dogs or which occurred for other mechanical or environmental damage. This easy to use treatment helped me solve bare spots and grow my grass back to what it should’ve been. The container makes application easy - easy to hold and apply to the those bare spots.

Grows fast
Grows fast this grass seed is great I even put some in a shady area in my yard and it started to grow . I have spots in my yard that nothing will grow because water use to form there or it's under a tree . This grass seed grows in all spots fast and long I have alot of dogs and cats they dog in the yard and use the bathroom they run in some spots and kill the grass . I put this grass seed on all the high traffic spots and made sure people stayed off and this grass began to grow fast .

Amazing results!
It took a little while, but i have FINALLY achieved the impossible! I have grasss in the most stubborn area in my yard! This stuff is amazing! I sprinkled in an area that had been leveled out with red dirt and sand mixture that has been refusing to grow any grass.. I can proudly say that after a long hard battle, and thanks to Scotts EZ seed.. I have gotten it to grow grass!
