DESCRIPTION
Clover is an important part of having a green, low-maintenance lawn that doesn't need a lot of water. Clover's deep roots help your lawn stay greener, longer during short-term drought conditions. Clover also self-fertilizes when you return the clover clippings to the lawn after mowing - meaning less work for you! Scotts® Turf Builder® Clover Lawn is specially formulated with Strawberry Clover to establish fast and help your lawn thrive. Set your mower to the lowest setting and cut entire lawn before applying this product. Use a Scotts® spreader to apply clover seed over existing lawn. Water two time daily to keep the soil surface wet for the first two weeks. Clover will begin to grow in 5-7 days. Once your clover is fully established, mow and return clippings to your lawn for a natural feeding. One 2 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® Clover Lawn covers 1,000 sq. ft.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
PREP
- Set mower to the lowest setting and cut entire lawn.
APPLY
- Use a Scotts® spreader to apply clover seed over existing lawn.
WATER
- Water two times daily to keep the soil surface wet for the first two weeks.
FEED
- Once your clover is fully established, mow and return the clippings to your lawn for natural feeding.
WHERE AND WHERE TO USE
When to Apply
- Spring and early summer are the best times to plant, because seed germinates best any time temperatures are between 60°F and 80°F and all danger of frost has passed.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Watering Tips
- Water two times daily to keep the soil surface wet for the first two weeks.
Using with Other Products
- Do not use if you've applied Scotts® Turf Builder® Halts Crabgrass Preventer with Lawn Food in the last 5 months.
- After first year of grow-in, apply Scotts® Halts Crabgrass & Grassy Weed Preventer once in early spring and again in the fall to reduce weed pressure.

Best lawn ever for Central Oregon! We live in the southern part of Central Oregon....need drought resistant ground cover and this fits the bill.

Love clover
Okay, so I love clover in my lawn, but… all of the weed killers that Scott’s makes also kill clover. If they are going to sell clover to add to your lawn then they should make a weed control product that does not kill the thing they are selling and telling you to put in your lawn. Clover roots very deeply and stays green all winter long in NW OK where I am and I really like that about it. I do have it mixed in with Bermuda grass and the combination holds up well to high dog traffic.

Very happy
Works true to what it claims. In my experience any bald patches filed in with mostly cover. And filed in patches that were killed by grubs (I think). Very happy with it, wish the bags came in a larger size.

so pretty
when i was a kid we use to go out in the yard crawl around till we found a 4 leaf clover,we now i,m 76 and just a couple weeks ago my Lucy ,my kitty cat passed away so we buried her i the back yard in the middle of a space about 12 foot square ,it was all bare except for a few unwanted weeds, so i went to Home Depot and ordered a 2 lb bag of clover lawn seed, it,s up now looking so pretty about 2 and a half inches high, LOVE IT, I need more seed to scatter everywhere

Clover lawn is good looking!
My garden looks so beautiful with this clover lawn and I just love using this from now on I spread it in my lawn and I’ve been happier seeing clover grass in my yard it looks so green and beautiful. Its easy to spread and use.

I wish clover lawn products were more readily available. My yard stays green and requires little mowing in the Summer. I used this to patch several spots in my yard and so far so good.
