DESCRIPTION

Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed High Traffic Mix self-repairs to withstand wear and tear. This mix contains Root-Building Nutrition, a combination of ingredients that is expertly crafted to help establish deep roots to grow thick, green turf so that you can build a better, stronger lawn from the roots up. Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed High Traffic Mix is designed for full sun and light shade, and has low drought resistance with high durability. It can be used to seed a new lawn or overseed an existing lawn. For best results, apply in the spring or fall when daily average soil temperatures are consistently between 55°F and 70°F or air temperatures are between 60°F and 80°F. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product (please refer to spreader settings on product label). Water daily or as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall. One 2.4 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed High Traffic Mix has a new lawn coverage of 400 sq. ft. and an overseeding coverage of 1,200 sq. ft.

PREP

New Lawns

  • Rake area to loosen the top layer of soil (approximately 2"" deep) and remove any dead grass or debris, ensuring seed-to-soil contact.

Overseeding

  • Mow lawn at the lowest setting and bag the clippings. Rake to remove debris, dead grass, and loosen the soil, ensuring seed-to-soil contact.

APPLY

  • Use a Scotts® spreader to apply the seed at the recommended spreader setting.

RAKE

  • Lightly rake the seed into the soil to ensure seed is covered just beneath the soil surface.

Where Not to Use

  • Do not apply near water, storm drains or drainage ditches.

When to Apply

  • This grass seed mix should be planted in spring or fall when air temperatures are consistently between 60°F and 80°F.

Watering Tips

  • Lawn seed should be watered daily or as needed to keep the soil moist for at least 3 weeks or until seedlings reach 2 inches in height.

In my backyard, everyone walks in a certain area and it killed off my grass. I decided to give this a try in the corner, and boy am I glad that I did. Within 14 days, up popped some grass, and now a month later, it is full! I have since purchased more so I can just do the rest of the back yard, as I wanted to make sure it worked before purchasing more. As you can see it works great, easy to lay down, and beautiful grass. I would indeed recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Impressive I have 2 large dogs who love to run and chase eachother. In just a little over 1 years time they have turned my yard into a mud zone. After doing much research of all the different grass seed on the market and reading reviews, I chose Scott’s High traffic seed and hoped for the best!! Well in just 2 weeks after spending a full day tilling, placing the grass seed down, adding some top soil and watering daily, the results are amazing!! Would highly recommend this product for anyone with pets, kids or high traffic areas. Thank you Scott’s!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Once used once, it is a snap the next time needed! Works great, weather has been lousy in Ohio this year but when I was finally able to use this product and followed the directions, it worked fine. Then road crews working on our street messed up their repairs and put in grass see by hand and messed it up so I will have to clean up what they did by doing over again but knowing it worked fine the first time, I am confident I don't need to hire a landscaping to do it over again like my neighbors. I used a hand spreader as the area is right along the edge of the tree lawn.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have high hopes! I haven't had a chance to use this product yet, due to some wacky spring weather, but I'm really looking forward seeing how it works. There are a few high-traffic places in the yard that are also a bit shady, so I'm really hoping this is the solution that will make those areas lush. I am looking forward to updating this review after a few more months!

I was surprised how quickly the grass started sprouting, but we have had a decent amount of rain. It won't get a lot of traffic to the area until later into the summer, so I can't speak for that but the area already looks so much nicer.

Between building a deck two years ago and having a roof put on a couple months ago, the whole side leading to my back yard looked severely worn out. I prepped the area, then used this seed along with the scotts lawn soil. All i can say is wow, after a solid week of rain and temperatures in the 60s this grass seed is coming up great and filling in very nicely.

Just follow the directions with a proper prep and water and the results will be amazing. Your lawn will look like a professional landscaper did the job!
