DESCRIPTION
Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Kentucky Bluegrass Mix is an elite species that grows dense, green turf. This mix contains Root-Building Nutrition, a combination of ingredients that is expertly crafted to help establish deep roots to grow thick, green turf so that you can build a better, stronger lawn from the roots up. Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Kentucky Bluegrass Mix is designed for full sun and light shade, and has medium drought resistance with high durability. It can be used to seed a new lawn or overseed an existing lawn. For best results, apply in the spring or fall when daily average soil temperatures are consistently between 55°F and 70°F or air temperatures are between 60°F and 80°F. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product (please refer to spreader settings on product label). Water daily or as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall. One 5.6 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Kentucky Bluegrass Mix has a new lawn coverage of 1,240 sq. ft. and an overseeding coverage of 3,730 sq. ft.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
How to Use
PREP
New Lawns
- Rake area to loosen the top layer of soil (approximately 2"" deep) and remove any dead grass or debris, ensuring seed-to-soil contact.
Overseeding
- Mow lawn at the lowest setting and bag the clippings. Rake to remove debris, dead grass, and loosen the soil, ensuring seed-to-soil contact.
APPLY
- Use a Scotts® spreader to apply the seed at the recommended spreader setting.
RAKE
- Lightly rake the seed into the soil to ensure seed is covered just beneath the soil surface.
WHEN AND WHERE TO USE
Where Not to Use
- Do not apply near water, storm drains or drainage ditches.
When to Apply
- This grass seed mix should be planted in spring or fall when air temperatures are consistently between 60°F and 80°F

Easy to apply !
This stuff works great. I recently added a water line for my rose bushes. Then when I bought some topsoil I mixed this right in the bucket with my fresh dirt and laid a nice layer right on top of the lawn and within 2-2.5 weeks being patient and watering on the regular it filled it like it was never disturbed. I was happy to see weeds didn’t come in and it was only good grass

It has good a good germination rate and has a nice dark green color. I have always relied on Scotts products because they are usually of good quality. It is the reason I continue to use them in my yard.

Beautiful Grass.
I really like this grass seed. Make sure to plant in the fall as there is enough water and not a bunch of scorching summer days. I did plant in the late spring and most of the new grass died in the heat and sun.

Great all around grass seed !! Perfect blend
The only seed I use. The sun and shade mix has a great blend of seed for the north east area. Resists bugs and always looks good in the summer heat. Germination is quick around 14 days you will see it sprouting. Don’t forget stater fertilizer when seeding

Scotts turf builder is just what my yard ordered
I have patches in my yard without grass due to moles being in my yard. I put this Scotts turf builder down with my kids right before it rained one day and what seemed like a very short time later we are get nice green grass back where it was lacking it. I'm sure I will have to get some mole traps to keep them away, but this turf builder is great.
