DESCRIPTION
Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Pennsylvania State Mix is a premium mix crafted for Pennsylvania conditions. This mix contains Root-Building Nutrition, a combination of ingredients that is expertly crafted to help establish deep roots to grow thick, green turf so that you can build a better, stronger lawn from the roots up. Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Pennsylvania State Mix is designed for full sun and partial shade, and has medium drought resistance with high durability. It can be used to seed a new lawn or overseed an existing lawn. For best results, apply in the spring or fall when daily average soil temperatures are consistently between 55°F and 70°F or air temperatures are between 60°F and 80°F. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product (please refer to spreader settings on product label). Water daily or as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall. One 2.4 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Pennsylvania State Mix has a new lawn coverage of 345 sq. ft. and an overseeding coverage of 1,040 sq. ft.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
How to Use
PREP:
New Lawns - Rake area to loosen the top layer of soil (approximately 2"" deep) and remove any dead grass or debris, ensuring seed-to-soil contact.
Overseeding - Mow lawn at the lowest setting and bag the clippings. Rake to remove debris, dead grass, and loosen the soil, ensuring seed-to-soil contact.
APPLY:
Use a Scotts® spreader to apply the seed at the recommended spreader setting.
RAKE:
Lightly rake the seed into the soil to ensure seed is covered just beneath the soil surface.
WHEN AND WHERE TO USE
Where to Use

Where Not to Use
- Do not apply near water, storm drains or drainage ditches.
When to Apply

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Watering Tips
- Lawn seed should be watered daily, or as needed, to keep the soil moist for at least 3 weeks or until seedlings reach 2 inches in height.

This product by Scott has always been one of my favorites. It’s one of the products by Scott that I buy every season. Scott is a brand that I’ve used for years and will continue to use. It not only kills the weeds, it makes the grass more thick and even.

It worked!
No more "spot"! I had a difficult area on my lawn that I could not get grass to hold and grow. Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Pennsylvania State Mix changed that. I lightly raked the area, spread the STB seed, watered and waited. Unbelievable......it started to grow, and grow, and grow. Before I knew it the area was covered with grass. The rest of the lawn, that was established, became lush and full. With the initial success, I have no doubt that it will stand up to the northeastern change of seasons, and climate conditions.

Penn State Mix creates a lush looking lawn
My neighbor has a really nice looking lawn. I asked what kind of grass he planted and told me it was Scotts Penn State Mix, so I was excited to receive your offer to try the product. I planted a test area and it is just coming up and looking good. I plan to redo more of my lawn with this grass seed. the grass is a deep green and the blades look thick and healthy.

New grass quick.
Great product. Saw results in two weeks. With the all in one product, it was a breeze. No measuring means you just cultivate the soil, place the product and keep it moist. I did not even cover it and the grass grew.

Perfect for bare spots
Filled in bare areas of lawn with this product and after a few weeks it looked beautiful. It blended in perfectly with my existing lawn grass and was so easy to use. I like that it is blended especially for my area.

This Is The One for You!
I've used Scotts product for many years. I live in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Previously I was using Scotts Sun & Shade grass seed. I usually got good results with this particular blend but it was always missing something, I wasn't totally satisfied. When Scotts introduced the Pennsylvania State Mix I was eager to give it a go. With this blend, Scotts put together the missing link that was needed. Approximately 7 days the product started to germinate, not just a little, but my entire yard. With the others there was good germination but with this blend it was simply amazing. If you live in Pennsylvania this is the grass seed for you!!!
