DESCRIPTION
Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Perennial Ryegrass Mix establishes quickly. This mix contains Root-Building Nutrition, a combination of ingredients that is expertly crafted to help establish deep roots to grow thick, green turf so that you can build a better, stronger lawn from the roots up. Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Perennial Ryegrass Mix is designed for full sun and light shade, and has low drought resistance with medium durability. It can be used to seed a new lawn or overseed an existing lawn. For best results, apply in the spring or fall when daily average soil temperatures are consistently between 55°F and 70°F or air temperatures are between 60°F and 80°F. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product (please refer to spreader settings on product label). Water daily or as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall. One 2.4 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Perennial Ryegrass Mix has a new lawn coverage of 300 sq. ft. and an overseeding coverage of 900 sq. ft.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
How to Use
PREP
- New Lawns Rake area to loosen the top layer of soil (approximately 2"" deep) and remove any dead grass or debris, ensuring seed-to-soil contact. Overseeding Mow lawn at the lowest setting and bag the clippings. Rake to remove debris, dead grass, and loosen the soil, ensuring seed-to-soil contact.
APPLY
- Use a Scotts® spreader to apply the seed at the recommended spreader setting.
RAKE
- Lightly rake the seed into the soil to ensure seed is covered just beneath the soil surface.
WHEN AND WHERE TO USE
Where Not to Use
- Do not apply near water, storm drains or drainage ditches.
When to Apply
- This grass seed mix should be planted in spring or fall when average soil temperatures are consistently between 55°F and 70°F, or air temperatures are consistently between 60°F and 80°F.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Watering Tips
- Lawn seed should be watered daily or as needed to keep the soil moist for at least 3 weeks or until seedlings reach 2 inches in height.

The grass seed germinated in only 5 days!
Receiving this grass seed was timely, as I had multiple bare spots in my lawn that required reseeding. I prepared the areas with some new top soil, generously applied the seed with a Scott’s hand held spreader, then lightly raked into the soil. I kept the areas well watered, without much help from Mother Nature. The seed has germinated in only 5 days! It’s coming in nicely. I highly recommend.

Fast and efficient
I always prefer Scott grass seeds as they grow faster when compared to the other brands and they are very effective. This Rye grass perennial seeds are easy to use and has a lot of nutrients required for establishing quickly. After seeding I watered the area lightly so that the soil wouldn’t be too dry. I saw the baby grass growing in no time. I love this and I definitely recommend it.

Great results for filling in the sparse areas
This seed was easy to spread- the blue color made applying it simple to ensure coverage. Watering and maintaining was easy and grew quickly. Was able to fill in sparse areas easily and start growing a full lawn!

This grass seed worked perfectly in a large fenced in area for our dog. We just needed to jumpstart growth in our existing lawn. It was easy to spread with our spreader and with plenty of watering, the area looks great.

Perennial ryegrass mix
After one month from planting, the seeds came in super thick and a beautiful color of dark green. It was fast growing. I would highly recommend this grass seed for a fast growing lawn. Friends and neighbors were quite impressed with its growth.

Grows fast grows thick grows green!!!! Easy to use fast germination to fill in slopes or problem areas just follow the easy instructions and water as directed and you will have a thick lush envious lawn .Also great for bare patches. And over seeding ! Appears to be both drought and disease resistant and responds very well to the occasional lawn feeding. Finally got my nagging wife off my back and the snide remarks from neighbors have turned to compliments and jealous stares!! Totally recommend could not bf happier now I enjoy walking in the lush green grass barefoot!!!
