DECSRIPTION
Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Quick Fix® Mix is the fast way to cover bare spots in your lawn for a quick, temporary repair. With this blend, you will see seed germinate within 4 to 7 days! Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Quick Fix® Mix is designed for temporary repair in full sun, and has a course bladed texture with low drought resistance. It can be used to provide ground cover and quickly reapir bare spots in your lawn. For best results, apply in the spring or fall when air temperatures are consistently between 60°F and 80°F. We recommend using a Scotts® spreader to apply this product (please refer to spreader settings on product label). Water daily or as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall. One 3 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® Grass Seed Quick Fix® Mix covers up to 500 sq. ft.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
How to Use
New Lawn
1. PREP
- Rake area to loosen the top layer of soil (approximately 2” deep) and remove any dead grass or debris, ensuring seed-to-soil contact.
2. APPLY
- Apply using a Scotts® spreader.
3. RAKE
- Lightly rake the seed into the soil to ensure seed is covered just beneath the soil surface. For best results, apply Scotts® Turf Builder® Starter® Food for New Grass.
4. WATER
- Water daily to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall.
Overseeding
1. PREP
- Mow lawn at the lowest setting and bag the clippings. Rake to remove debris, dead grass, and loosen the soil, ensuring seed-to-soil contact.
2. APPLY
- Apply using a Scotts® spreader.
3. RAKE
- Lightly rake the seed into the soil to ensure seed is covered just beneath the soil surface. For best results, apply Scotts® Turf Builder® Starter® Food for New Grass.
4. WATER
- Water daily to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall.
WHEN AND WHERE TO USE
How Often to Apply
- Fall and spring are the best times to plant grass seed, because seed germinates best when temperatures are between 60°F and 80°F.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Watering Tips
- For best results, water twice daily for at least 3 weeks. Automatic timers can help ensure no essential waterings are missed.
Using with Other Products
- Do not apply weed control products until the grass is well established (mowed at least 4 times). Additionally, if you recently used a weed control product, refer to those product instructions to determine how soon you can plant grass seed.

Worked and came back next season
Sections of my lawn completely died last season due to the unrelenting heat, humidity, and record drought. Aerated and prepared the soil properly, but no other seeds would grow. Came across this product and gave it a try. The areas filled in within one week. To my surprise, the new grass survived a rough winter with snow and is growing strong this spring. Just be aware that initially the color is a lime green. It got darker as it matured.

This product worked wonders
I first used it in my back yard last season. Even though the bag reads for "temporary lawn". The grass came back with no problem. I have shared it with a couple of my neighbors and it has worked for them as well. I then used this product to rebuild my little plot of grass in the front of my home. It is thick and lush and green.

I thatched my lawn which left a lot of bare areas. I bought Quick Fix Mix and Kentucky Blue Grass seed. I blended the two and seeded my lawn. Thinking that Quick Fix would protect the Kentucky Blue from birds and sun. It worked fine but grows faster than the other grasses and it's lighter in color. I have to mow every three days. It grows a half inch or more a day. My question is when does it become temporary. How long before it die out.

Quick Fix
I bought this grass seed for Florida to touch up some bare spots for the winter. It started sprouting in about 3 days. It looks great. My question is. How long is temporary fix? Will the heat kill it? Or is it just a matter of months

Great Product
Planted the seeds on Sunday, placed straw on top to prevent drying out. Watered everyday, checked under the straw Saturday morning, I saw grass growing. I had a brown spot for 2 years. I have tried others methods for grass to grow nothing work. From the expensive stuff to the cheapest stuff. This product is great. I will recommend this to other people.

The only fast growing turf for temporary lawn with success
Applied grass seed earlier this year in bare spots and it grew quickly allowing me to plant more permanent seed. To this day it is still growing and keeping the areas stable while the permanent seed takes root. Have loved Scotts products for over 40 years.
