This summer lawn fertilizer can help your lawn build tougher, stronger, deeper roots, promoting the growth of drought tolerant grass. Additionally, the lawn insect control provides a strong deterrent against a wide range of pests, including ants, armyworms, chinch bugs, crickets, fleas, grasshoppers, spiders, and ticks.

Step by Step Instructions

How to Use

  1. For best results, use this summer lawn fertilizer on your lawn during the summer months.
  2. Apply it to dry grass before watering it in thoroughly.
  3. Use a Scotts spreader for the best results in drought tolerant grass and lawn insect control.
    1. Scotts® broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 3 ¾.
    2. Scotts® drop spreaders, use a setting of 8 ½.
    3. Scotts® Elite speader, use a setting of 5.
  4. Water product in following application.
  5. Avoid using any other weed or lawn insect control products for at least a week after applying Scotts SummerGuard.
  6. One 13.35 lb. bag of Scotts® Turf Builder® SummerGuard® Lawn Food with Insect Control covers 5,000 sq. ft.
