Thank you to all applicants, the window to submit a 2024 Gro for Good application has now closed.
Our committment
We are committed to supporting green space solutions that improve communities throughout Canada and help our youth and communities enjoy the benefits of gardening; benefits, such as, encouraging healthy eating habits while learning how to grow your own food and the health benefits that come from being outdoors and interacting with nature and other members of the community.
Did you know:
Each year, Scotts Canada awards grants to deserving communities, schools and non-profit civic organizations seeking to develop sustainable gardens and green spaces.
Grant details
Gro for Good grants are valued at $2,500 CAD (cash plus in-kind product donation) and will be awarded to selected projects across Canada based on community impact, youth involvement and sustainability.
The applicants will need to demonstrate one or more of the following benefits to the community:
- Addressing health and wellness needs
- Enhancing the environment and/or engaging with youth
- 10,673 kg of Harvest Vegetables
- 567 Trees & Shrubs planted
- 41,178 m2 Gardens and greenspaces created
- 15,998 hours of volunteer involvement (including Construction & Maintenance)
- 5,871 kg Donation to Food Banks
Additional Grant Opportunities
Each recipient of a grant will also have the opportunity to compete for one additional grant of $2,500 in cash that will be awarded based on a social media contest hosted by Scotts Canada.

Scotts Canada Ltd. is pleased to continue its partnerships with Communities in Bloom, Plant ยท Grow ยท Share a Row, and Nutrients for Life, to inspire and educate people about the importance of green spaces, environmental stewardship and feeding our communities through the development of community gardens.
