The tackifier included in the formula reduces seed washaway, so it can grow even on slopes.

Scotts® ez Seed® Patch & Repair contains the following ingredients:
- Scotts® mixture of high performance grass seed: Creeping Red Fescue, turf-type Perennial Ryegrass and Kentucky Bluegrass.
- Mulch: absorbs up to 6 times its weight in water and expands to surround the seed in a moist protective layer.
- Tackifier: helps to reduce seed wash-away and a protectant to help keep seedlings safe from harmful diseases.
- Fertilizer: a controlled release fertilizer feeds seedlings to jumpstart growth.
